Thug Kitchen 101: Fast as F*ck | 
Slowly making my way through the Thug Kitchen 101 cookbook. So far I‘ve found the recipes to be easy, delicious, and versatile. Pictured is the Pasta Piselli, French Crushed Chickpea and Artichoke Heart Salad, Maple Roasted Sweet Potatoes on Coconut-Lime Rice, and Brown Sugar Blueberry Polenta Scones.

so-soWhile I tend to love fast, fresh recipes, I wasn‘t very tempted by a lot of the recipes in the book. I felt that they relied heavily on a few of the same ingredients throughout the book. It was very average.
I ate GARBAGE all day long because I‘m feeling like a trash monster so for dinner I forced myself to fill my face-hole with veggies and oh my god I actually feel a bit more human. Fancy that. #mentalillnesssucks #mybrainisouttogetme #canijustsleepforever

pickOne of my bookish gifts from Christmas! Loved the recipes from their first book, I was excited to see this one as the recipes are a bit simpler but just as good! This dish is Barley and Red Pepper Stew - delicious!

If you don't mind swear words along with solid, interesting, reliable recipes, then the Thug Kitchen series is for you. Bonus: all recipes are vegan & many are gluten free as well (& marked as such); they also avoid vegan cheese/meat substitutes. Their latest is a road trip through beautiful California. I'm laughing out loud as I read through it.
