Loved Jane‘s YouTube channel so much I had to buy this one. The photos are gorgeous and the food I‘ve prepared has been yummy. I appreciate how this book shares many individual recipes (hummus, sauces, dressings, pickled veggies) that I can combine in whatever way I like. They give several recipes for Build Your Own Bowl, but I‘m always modifying those because I have leftover veggies to mix in. I‘m looking at you 🥕and celery! ⬇️
This salad has you suprême your citrus & shave your fennel— so fancy! I can see myself making this for lunch this summer. It has to be pretty good to get me excited for salads & this delivers ?
I love the accessibility of the recipes, too— even the sectioned citrus comes with a how-to guide. It looks like good food cooked with fresh ingredients & a lot of attention to detail ❤️
I watch her channel sometimes. The food she makes looks so good. I‘m not even a vegan. I‘m a pescatarian.
Finally a cool day and I feel, like cooking. This is a broccoli and tofu stir fry from one of my favourite vegan cook books.
The photo doesn't do the stew justice, but it was SO GOOD. I couldn't find fresh habañeros*, so I used a jalapeño and a few dashes of habañero hot sauce. Caribbean-Style Swiss Chard and Butternut Squash Stew from the tagged.
*About 20 years ago, I had a habañero plant in a container on the balcony of our apartment in North Carolina. It grew to about three feet tall and produced at least a hundred habañeros. And now I can't find one pepper. *sigh*

Today‘s #FreshStart prompt made me think of some cookbooks I have with fresh &/or start in the titles. 🍽️📚
Tonight‘s comfort food: 🥔Baked Potato Soup
I may have gotten a little excited with the fake bacon bits🤷🏻♀️
This cookbook is great for whole foods plant-based comfort recipes. I need to explore more recipes in this one to see if I like her other meals.
