TheAromaofBooks A few years ago my husband's friend invited us to go with him and some buddies on a winter hike near some property he owns. My husband and I hike pretty regularly and have our day packs and whatnot. We get there and head out... the friend opens up his pack and it's FULL of beer 😂 I had never taken a tipsy hike before, but honestly... not a bad experience 😂 😂 😂 2mo

Another great volume in this horror series. Some of Erica's backstory is presented in this one as she hunts down the monsters from the first book.

Have volume 3 on hand, though, because the cliffhanger at the end will have you desperate to know what happens next.

4 ⭐ I had to check that I hadn‘t accidently picked up book one all over again as it starts similarly. Some boys daring themselves to go into the woods. Next there‘s blood. This does pick up directly after book one. There are monster babies, and they need to die. More children around town will die if they‘re not captured. Most of this book was back-and-forth about the organization sending help to Erica, (help she didn‘t want) and saving more lives.

LibrarianRyan The town is in shambles, and everyone‘s scared. Only Erica slaughter has a chance of saving everyone. Book 2 ends with no ending and wait for book 3. 14mo

Another exciting look into this world where monsters are real and only children and a few special others can see them. It ends on a very dramatic cliff hanger, so I'll immediately be picking up Vol. 3.

Wow... Horrifyingly good series. Erica Slaughter is a ruthless, focused, honest, and intriguing character. I want to know more about the monsters and the different houses #horror #graphicnovels

Volume 3 continues as the town of Archers Peak goes under lockdown to protect its citizens. More about the Order of St. George is learned. Erica continues her quest to rid the town of monsters. Beautiful and often gruesome artwork completes the package.

Vol. 1 continues where Vol. 2 ends. More of Erica's back story is explained as she and others attempt to fight the 5 monster babies from the first story. Good suspense and horror throughout.

Holy cliffhanger Batman! In volume 2 we learn more about Erica's backstory while also developing the story. It does not pull any punches. I will be on a mission tomorrow for volume 3. It's wonderful to have discovered this series right before the halfway point through the year. Books continue to be a great comfort, even when the world ceaselessly disappoints.

Leftcoastzen I‘m sitting here quietly reading , yet part of my brain is always screaming WTF! 2y

I read Volume 2 and Volume 3 in this series today. I started it at the end of 2021. I am not a huge horror reader, but I actually have read a few things by James Tynion IV & enjoyed it.

The story centres around a town where children start going missing and a mysterious woman arrives to help the town out. Erica Slaughter comes with a history and has a story, but she is a compelling character and I am looking forward to where her story goes next.

Just as good as the first one. I keep trying not to read them too fast, because I don‘t like waiting for the next volume. But there‘s a cliffhanger….

This comic is a fast paced horror and not for the faint of heart. I powered through this and was left wanting more by the end. A gripping, edge of your seat comic.

Something is indeed killing the children and it's still up to Erica to stop the blood thirsty monsters before it's too late.

Volume 2 picks right up where the horror of volume 1 ended and continues to keep readers on the edge of their seats. Visually gripping, this is a graphic novel that may very well haunt your dreams.

No resolution just yet though. Must see what the next installments have in store.

Volume 2: leaves us with a cliff hanger. This volume was as good as the first one. The artwork is gritty and good and fits the story.

And then some weeks, like 3 weeks ago, it‘s all about your Star Wars comics (my son and I read and discuss). Also, the trade for Shuri with, of course, the Skottie Young cover, as well as the trades for Gideon Falls (sooooo dark and creepy and fantastic), the tagged comic (also really dark and fantastic), Tales of the Jedi and last, but definitely not least, Vol. 1 of Pak‘s most excellent Darth Vader run. A couple of ongoing comics too.
