This book is so good! I wish it got more attention because it is definitely worthy...

A harrowing story about the relationship between a mum on death row and her daughter, who tries to maintain a life full of secrets.
Despite the heavy going subject of the book, I found this a very easy story to read and I was in floods of tears by the end. I felt so emotionally invested! This is the author‘s only book - I really hope she writes more!

If you are a fan of Jodi Picoult, then you will probably love this book as much as I did. Many ethical questions are portrayed and it leaves you questioning so many things. It‘s not only a story about the death sentence, but a mother daughter story and a story about relationships. I highly recommend this one!

Such an emotional read!! Grace Bradshaw is on death row for murdering her infant son and out of appeals. Her focus now is reconnecting with her daughter after 11 years and making sure she knows the truth. I was crying like a baby 😭😭

3.5 stars/5. This is a moving and sad story about a relationship between a mother and a daughter. The mother is convicted of murdering of her infant son and is on death row. I almost gave up on this one because it was so slow at first but it finally got interesting about 2/3 in and earned its stars.
What a story. Makes you wonder how many Graces there were in death row. It definitely tugged at my heartstrings. Keep the tissue close by with this one.

I‘m so ready for flowers to be in my yard!!! 🌸🌼🌻🌷
Really liked the premise- and even more reason to not support the death penalty.
Surprised how much I liked it. The writing wasn't anything special but it was clear, and the more I listened, the more the characters grew on me. The story also becomes sweeter with time which I don't typically enjoy, but I needed just this amount mother-daughter trauma/drama. Grace is in jail for allegedly killing her other child as an infant and Sophie has hidden her mother's true location for 12 years. And then Grace's execution date is set.
Getting some MUCH-NEEDED therapy time with Mr. Jackson. Glad to have a reason to get out of my apartment today to spend a few hours with this sweet boy.
I also might just squeeze in one more book (listening to the tagged book on audio) before month's end. #audiowalk

Well that didn't end the way I expected it to!
I probably wouldn't have listened to this audiobook if it hadn't been a daily deal, but the cover caught my eye (I love marigolds ) so I picked it up.
A look at complicated relationships, between spouses, parents and kids, I'd give this 4 of 5 ⭐️
"...scars heal scars." This is going to be on my best reads of the year list. It's a powerful look at the complexities of relationships & capital punishment. I ugly cried through the last half of the book. In some ways it made me think of To Kill a Mockingbird - you never really understand a person until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.
I just started this audio as I ran errands this morning. Anyone else read it? I'm enjoying it so far!
Kind of romanticized view of the death penalty. Good arguments against it, in a fiction format. Grace is aptly named.
Does anyone else forget what they put on hold at the library sometimes? I got a notification for this one and was all "huh?" It sounds amazing ?

Absolutely loved this book! It was heart wrenching to read, but I couldn't put it down. Finished it in 2 days! I think my reading slump is officially over
I finished this book in the office today, trying to hide how choked up I was. What a well written, emotional book!
Needed a little motivation for the treadmill today
Just finished this and everyone was right!! I'm glad my husband is asleep because I have the Ugly crying going on 😢😓

Hoping to finish this today ❤️

Yay for #Audible daily deals! My second in a week. #husbandisgonnakillme #itwasworthit ❤️
5 stars!! Phenomenal!! This is my first playaway and the first time I've listened to a fiction book! If the death penalty is a trigger warning for you then maybe avoid it. If not, then this will be a wonderful, emotional ride. Throughout the plot there may be a couple cliche moments, however the ending & character developments more than make up for them. The narrators did a great job reading the work! I'll have a more detailed review on Goodreads.
So, I bought the daily deal. Again. 😳🤣
