Mollyanna That is a beautiful shelf. Growing up my aunt had one shelf of Nancy Drew and another of the Hardy Boys. When my cousins moved out she gave all of them to Goodwill. Breaks my heart to this day. 2y

Read my first Nancy Drew book as an adult- it's so lovely to read a mystery solved in one book with a ribbon wrapped around everything. Nancy's just SO GOOD at what she does, and seriously loves it. That type of passion is fantastic to read.

so-so

When I was a kid, I was always allowed to take a book home from my grandparents' house to read. Many times, I chose one of these Nancy Drew mysteries. This one was a favorite, mainly because of the winter sports- skiing, skating, snow shoeing. Re-reading it now, I can see how simplistic it is, and how funny the descriptions are. But I do enjoy reading about girls who are fearless, and Nancy Drew is certainly that.

Dolly It‘s so much fun to revisit those feelings of simpler times. I remember the thrill of a book sale at school then waiting for the order to arrive, the visit to the library and even searching our little bookcase at home with Thornton Burgess books. If they were made of gold they wouldn‘t have been more precious. (edited) 6y
