I wish there was a category between pick and so-so because I would place this title there. Enjoyed it, laughed outl loud but seriously this book could have been so much more.

marleed I purchased it on Amazon a few months ago for 1.99. I thought it was a hoot and gave it to my son as his 30th birthday card. It was the cheapest I‘ve purchased all year! 4y

The best thing about this? You can read it in 10 minutes or less. A few of the illustrations were good. Overall it was pretty disappointing. At least it was really cheap.

There are some real gems like this one, but most of it is drivel. I appreciated the jaunt down memory lane, but the version of Oregon Trail I grew up with was even more bare bones than what the author describes here, so it missed the mark for me as pure nostalgia. Borrow a copy and take five minutes to read, but maybe save your $ for food or oxen. 😉

I expected this book to be essays about life that related back to The Oregon Trail game. Instead, they are illustrations (the best part) with short captions which, by and large, are not funny but are clearly trying to be. This one didn‘t work for me.
