What a super, silly book! I really enjoy Jane Corry's books, even though they are all semi-autobiographical with all the references to Cornwall and being a prison officer. I though the final twist related to her friend's culpability was unnecessary, but I enjoyed the usual twisty-turny narrative and 'ah-ha!' moments, as well as the poignancy of her description of miscarriage. The two stories side by side was a great device too. A great read!

Vicki‘s ex-husband, David, is missing. She is an aromatherapist but also has epilepsy which causes her memory loss. Zelda gets caught dealing drugs and her daughter, Scarlet is now in foster care. Tanya. David‘s new wife, reported him missing but what really happened on the night of David‘s disappearance. Now Vicki needs to prove her innocence. What is the connection between these 4 women? Alternating POV narrated

EadieB Themes of child abuse and miscarriage. Slow burn plot with many twists and turns and an exciting ending. Need to read more of this author‘s books. Love her writing! 3y

Definitely enjoyed the story and kept me guessing till the end but I felt the end was kind of rushed in a way..I can‘t explain it without spoilers but still a good read.

Really enjoyed the plot in this book. there are three distinct parts and towards the end of the middle the dots were just beginning to join. It left me really eager to read the third part which tied all the ends together. A good summer read 💜

High hopes for this one based on the synopsis but was disappointed. Well-written but basically a book about women being horrible to each other, doing underhanded things, and basically pandering to a man who is obviously not worth it 😒 Rating: 2 ⭐️

Thanks to NetGalley and publishers, Penguin Books UK, for the opportunity to review an ARC.

Catching up on #Pigeonhole

This was a good thriller with some unexpected twists. Great reading along with the author. She had obviously done her research about prison life and epilepsy. Great, flawed characters.

4*.
This thriller kept me guessing until the end. Plenty of surprises with twists and turns in every chapter. I never knew what to expect and found it all quite gripping. I read this book via the Pigeonhole app and was eagerly awaiting each stave to find out what was going to happen next. I did not predict the ending which was something of a bolt out of the blue. Well written, suspenseful story which I very much enjoyed.
