Ted Bundy: Conversations with a Killer | Stephen G Michaud, Hugh Aynsworth
6 posts | 8 read | 1 reading | 9 to read
Based on 150 hours of taped interviews with the gruesome serial killer, this book presents Bundy as he really was. Here, Bundy himself explains how and why he murdered up to forty women in cold blood. Endlessly fascinating, the authors delve into the mind of a monster. Available in late May.

Pickpick

In interview form, this book gives insight on just exactly what Ted Bundy's mind was like. Some people might not like the way it was written, as it is in 3rd person, but the book clearly explains why they took that approach. Someone being so intrigued with true crime, I was interested the whole time. It was interesting to hear his thought process and what really goes through serial killers minds

"Bundy wasn't just a savage killer; he was a degenerate, too."

Day 11 - #psychokiller #octoberxfiles

Drawn from more than 150 hours of exclusive tape-recorded interviews with Bundy, this collection provides shocking insights into the killer's 11th-hour confessions before his death in a Florida electric chair. A unique, horrifying self portrait of one of the most savage sex killers in history.

Lcsmcat True story: we found out, years after we bought it, that Ted Buddy had lived in our basement when he was in law school at the University of Utah. We didn‘t share that fact when we sold the house. 🤭 1y
Cinfhen That‘s crazy cool 😜😱😱 @Lcsmcat 1y
Cinfhen Part of me wants to read this book and the other part is too afraid to even think about reading those reports. 1y

EadieB @Cinfhen I think we should do a buddy read. He was such a unique person that fooled so many people! 1y
Cinfhen I‘d read this with you!! Just need to find a reasonably priced copy ~ I‘ll do some sleuthing!!! 1y
EadieB @Cinfhen It is very expensive but we could read Ann Rule‘s book 1y
Cinfhen I just saw that one is pretty reasonable from kindle!!! I‘m up for it but to be read in November?!? Is that ok 👍🏻 1y
Cinfhen I‘ve been wanting to read the AnnRule for awhile 1y
Chrissyreadit I would love to join in if that would be ok? 1y
EadieB @cinfhen @Chrissyreadit ok I found my paperback copy of Ann Rule‘s book The Stranger Beside Me and it has 548 pages that we can read about 110 Pgs for 5 days starting Thursday November 15th. Is that a good time for both of you? (edited) 1y
Cinfhen Oh wow! That‘s a lot of pages... I can definitely start on November 15 but not sure I can commit to 110 pages a day @EadieB @Chrissyreadit .... we can try to wrap it up before Thanksgiving but it might take me a bit longer because I have company coming for a few days (edited) 1y
Cinfhen I‘m happy u want to join us @Chrissyreadit 1y
EadieB @Cinfhen do you want another start date with less pages and longer days to read, tell me the amount of pages you can handle in a day and I can adjust it. @Chrissyreadit 1y
Cinfhen Ill be reading on a kindle so it‘s hard to even figure out pages...how many chapters are there? 1y
Cinfhen I can also start on the 12th... 1y
Chrissyreadit I would love more days, less pages because I have grad classes too- I think will also do kindle. Nov 12 - 24 would work for me. 1y
EadieB @cinfchen I will be posting the chapters because other may have a hardback or a different book. The first section of 110 pages are about 11 chapters but some are long and some are short chapters. It easier to use page count to separate into even reading sections. So if you want 50 Pgs a day, 6 chapters, that would be an 11 day read. 75 Pgs a day would be a 7 day read at 9 chapters. Just so you know. (edited) 1y
EadieB @cinfhen @Chrissyreadit ok we will start the book on Saturday November 10 and read about 50 pages a day and finish on November 20 which will be an 11 day read at about 50 pages a day. I will post the buddy read and the chapters to be read each day and will invite whoever wants to join in. 1y
Chrissyreadit Perfect!!! 1y
Cinfhen Ok, that sounds much more doable @Chrissyreadit @EadieB 👍🏻 1y
EadieB @Cinfhen @Chrissyreadit Ok the book is separated. The first section is 62 pages, the last section is 74. The other sections are about 50 pages each. It is a 10 day read from November 10 thru November 19. 1y
