Detective Max Rupert has become the bad guy or has he, when Max gets some new information on his wife death it changes everything. Max is on a mission and his end game is going to upset the underworld.

I struggled with this book only with my own moral code, but what happens when the people who‘s job is to protect the vulnerable people in are society lets them down and innocent people get cut down because they want to protect vulnerable.

Trevor Noah has a beautiful way of telling a story, you get a small idea of how life was for him as a young child & young adult in South Africa. His humour on tough subjects is a breath of fresh air and it doesn‘t take from the story of his up bringing, from the start Trevor mum single mind attitude is one to be admired.
You get a glimpse about Apartheid and how it was used to divide the country and keep them at odds.

Where are all the Dutch surgeons that Betty Neels writes about, I think everyone could do with a strong shoulder to lean on and the quiet nature of her hero's gives you a warm safe feeling.

Like all her books, we have the misunderstanding which I find funny, if each party would say how they feel, the happy ending would come sooner, but then we would miss out on the fun part and build up.

This was a interesting read and nice attempt at a part of history which had a very different ending, but some of the story was too far away from the time and would not have been accepted.

If Mary Trump is speaking the truth in this book 📖, I have to say Donald Trump is a product of his environment and came from a very dysfunctional family. The author at times come across very angry on how her parents were treated by the whole Trump family and for her Aunts and Uncles money was all they cared about and what people can do for them without them having to do a thing

If you believe all that is in this book 📖, you will see Sylvia Plath life was a greek tragedy her relationship with Ted Hughes was toxic. It‘s shocking to hear how much control Ted had over Sylvia and his own friends how he could turn them on her and use her own insecurities .No one every held Ted responsible for any of his actions but instead blame the victim for all his short comings. Once Sylvia breaks free it‘s to last only a short time.

Blood Orange was a interesting read what I thought the main story was gone to be about turn out to be a very small part, the book was taken up by Aileens love life and her drinking problem. I only gave this book a 3 star as I did find the descriptions and language at times just too much, it took away from the story for me.

What can I say to do justice to this book, I have hear about Virginia Wolff‘s letter a number of years ago. When I started I felt like I was reading her diary 📔 and I was amazed at how honest and open she was about her mental health. She comes across shy and very unsure of her friendships and her writing skills. I look forward to the next five volumes

The Five: The Untold Lives of the Women Killed by Jack the Ripper takes a different view on the women know only as victims of Jack the Ripper. Polly, Annie, Elizabeth, Catherine and Mary-Jane are give back their identity which was taking from them once Jack took their lives.

What if Jack the Ripper was not killing prostitute but homeless women or alcoholics. I found my view on what I thought I knew change, I happy that there story is been told

The handmaid tale was an interesting concept but a truly scary one. The idea that women's roles in society could be broken down, if you could bring life into the world you became a handmaiden for commanders and their wives who were unable to make life themselves. The Job of the handmaiden is forces surrogate. I found the main character to be one of heart-break and lost. The Handmaid‘s Tale is a good story but may not be for everyone.

This was a chilling first hand account from Ted Bundy himself of what he did but never came clean about until the night before his death sentence was carried out.

I found myself been charmed by Ted Bundy and that scared me once I remembered his crimes, I can understand how he was able to make women drop their guard around him.

This is a eye opening book and gives you an idea of how his mind work. It's a dark place to be

In volume one Nick is the one helping Charlie to navigate his way in school but in this Volume its Charlie helping Nick to learn about his own sexuality and how to navigate the waters once he finds himself and gets comfortable with this new perspective of himself.

This is my first time reading Ken Bruen and I have watch Jack Taylor tv show and enjoyed it alot. I loved this first book in the series The Guards and it gave a great background to Jack as a character. The only down fall I found was the murder took a back set and we got more information about Jack struggle with alcoholics, which in itself was an interesting read.
