We just had a huge hailstorm so after I went to check on my plants & found this little beauty on one of my apple trees. She‘s the biggest ladybug I‘ve ever seen, about the size of a 5c coin. Does anyone here know which species she is? #gardenersoflitsy
Kindergarten has The Grouchy Ladybug as their current read-aloud of the week, and they love it!
This ladybug is just out to pick a fight... until he realized most animals are much bigger than him!
My students love the repetitive language and have been eager to say the story on their own. Great for retelling and recognizing characters!
And look at those cute ladybug plates...
In this fictional book by Eric Carle, readers quickly follow alongside a grouchy ladybug who doesn‘t have any manners and who thinks it‘s better than anyone else. This is a great book for teaching time, manners and friendship. UDL 9.3 allows students to develop self assessments and reflections, while recording lectures on audio tapes would be helpful for students who aren‘t exposed to English very much (EL 21). #UCFLAE3414SuB18
I saw this dark chocolate bar out shopping with my sister and immediately thought of one of my favorite Littens! Her opinion, not mine! I think her heart is too big for that! ❤️❤️😄😄. Any guesses who I‘m thinking of today! Hint: I hope she‘s feeling better! 😘
Clean air above, polluted air below.... (somewhere between Jaisalmer and New Delhi). Our flight was delayed because the military closed the runways (go figure) and it‘s cascaded into chaos with our connecting flights but we are now in Delhi waiting for our connection home. On the bright side; there is tea. On the down side, we‘re all sick from the constant, high air pollution and now I can‘t spring the kitty tonight but I just want to get home.
The Grouchy Ladybug is a charming F book written and illustrated by Eric Carle. This would be a great addition to any classroom library and would be perfect for S in the classroom. I found a great lesson plan at https://www.scholastic.com/teachers/lesson-plans/teaching-content/grouchy-ladybu...

The book the Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carle is just another one of his many amazing accomplishments. In this animal fantasy book, the ladybug thinks she is the strongest one yet and challenges other animals to duels. Eventually learning her lesson.
