I've read the Cirque du Freak series, and thought it was really good, so I'm hoping this is as good as the book🥴

Bedtime reading with the cat, a giant teddy bear and my little reader. We started this one tonight and I hope it won't be too spooky for her. 👻🧛♂️👀

One of the first book series I ever read and really got me into reading I have always considered this to be one of my all time favourite series even though it‘s been almost ten years since reading this and I barely remember any of it, thought it‘s about time for a reread, nervous as to how I will find it at age 21 in comparison to 12 year old me🤞hopefully it holds up well.
I loved spooky books when I was younger. My favorite of which was the Cirque du Freak novels! Teen boy becomes a vampire‘s assistant at a traveling freak show and it just escalates from there. Highly underrated in my opinion. @callielafleur #clearingtheshelves2
Meh, I watch the movie on Netflix which is what prompted me to read this book. And I guess because I already knew what was going to happen, I was kind of bored with this book. It was interesting to get the details of how he was in the coffin and his friend in the hospital and to see the differences between the book and the movie. But I can't really say I enjoyed this until maybe I've read more books in the series.
Im falling behind in my reading goal, but ive been coming in as one of the top three scores on the exams here. With clinicals, my kids, and exams, PLUS my upcoming APFT, i havent had much time to read.
I saw this movie though, in passing, last week. And decided i need to try and read this series. Here i go!
Life‘s a bit tiring at the moment and I‘ve been feeling jaded and a bit down lately... I also didn‘t feel like reading much. But today the sun was finally out again which made everything else seem brighter as well and I‘ve started this super quick and easy read to save me from a reading slump and I think it works😊
YES. Yes just yes. Always will be my favorite series.
As I found this box of 12 books for only 30€, I just had to buy it 😊 I'm expecting them to be read really quickly, and they seem like the right books at the moment, where I have to read tons of complicated texts for University😴
Also, thanks for your input @SpeculativeFemale 😊
Has anyone here heard of that series or read it and can tell me if it is worth reading?
I thought this series of books had an excellent scare factor for the young-uns. It definitely freaked me out. #allhallowsread
About half way through I was sure that I wouldn't want to read any more of this series, but by the end I was totally engaged & am now excited to read the next book! It is very Bradbury-esque, & I mean that as a high compliment! I am totally in love with the characters & the story itself has so much possibility for the sequels!!
Next up on Audio! Never heard of this series but it was on sale at Audible, JK Rowling endorsed it and it sounded pretty good!
Darren and his best friend Steve visit a traveling freak show. Steve believes a performer, Crepsley, is a vampire. Steve talks to Crepsley and asks to become a vampire. Crepsley initially refuses but is talked into testing Steve's blood, that he spits out telling Steve he has bad blood. Steve furiously swears revenge and leaves.
Loved this series when I was younger.
🌟🌟🌟🌟4/5 stars. I never finished it cause there's so many books😳
One of my all time favorites!! I've read it multiple times but can never get enough of Mr. Crepsley! Re-reading this reminds me of my time spent in New Orleans - a place with lots of vampire lore.
