This is the first book that I have read in this series and it‘s #12. I‘ll be finding and reading the others when I need a book that uses science, history, and weird facts to make a story seem so realistically possible. James Rollins fills my Michael Crichton reading needs. Love when I find an author that has books that I will have to catch up on.

I really enjoyed this Sigma adventure. I love when Kat and Painter get out of the office. My only complaint - not enough Monk or Kowalski.
James Rollins just gets me. Though if (when) he kills off Kowalski there will be a BIG problem.

I've tried reading a few bookclub books but just couldn't get onto them right now. So I'm going back to James Rollins who I always enjoy.

TheBookAddict That looks yummy 🤤 😋 4y
robinb Yummm, I‘ll be right over! 🤣 4y
bookandbedandtea Oooh I read 6 or 7 James Rollins then kinda forgot about them (I think while waiting for the next at that time to release) so I appreciate the reminder! I'd love to catch back up with the folks of Sigma Force. 😊 4y

I am on to book 2 in my “GoodReads #MountTBR challenge for 2020. My biggest reading resolution this year is to read from my #TBR whenever I change. I will still allow for my mood reads and I will buy books form my favorite authors (there are quite a few coming out this year). I'm starting on the lowest mountain and plan to work upward.

LibrarianRyan I have yet to conquer this mountain, but i keep trying. 4y

Another great Sigma thriller from Rollins. I loved this one, it had all components that really draw me into the Sigma team's adventures! The history! The science! The thrill ride! The rush to save the world! Sprinkled with larger than life heroes of old; Clemens and Tesla to Livingston and Stanley!

MinDea Oh man so many good answers will be given. I am going to go with Roland and his ka-tet or the Order of the Phoenix gang! 7y

Clwojick 😂😂😂 this is a great question. I'm going to seriously answer Alex Cross from James Pattersons series. (But my not serious answer would HAVE to be Jake and Finn from Adventure time. ) 7y
Emiller Harry Bosch 7y
Bookzombie Pendergast 🙂 7y
MinDea My boyfriend says Sherlock Holmes! 7y
Texreader My pick too!! 7y
CuriousG Roland and the gang from The Dark Tower...they can pretty much handle anything, in any world 7y

MaleficentBookDragon @ValkyrieAndHerBooks @ReadingsByTheC I prefer his stand alone though. Start with 7y

One of the things I love about the Sigma novels is the mix of science & history & this fantastical element that is unique to the stories that Rollins is telling. Seventh Plague follows Gray & his team to the deserts of Egypt & the tundra of the Arctic in search of a cure to a dangerous new plague unleashed upon the world. While the story wasn't as twisty as other novels in the series, it was still a good end of summer read.

Booksbooksbooks Hi! I haven‘t read any of the other books in this series, can I read this without the others??? 6y
CiViiLy @Booksbooksbooks You can. Though if you've read other in a series it'll give you a bit better understanding of the characters but it works as a stand alone. 6y
Booksbooksbooks @CiViiLy ok phew! I picked it up because it sounded interesting before I realized t was the 12th in a series lol 6y

The Sigma series by James Rollin is prime vacation reading material for me. I first discovered the series about 7 years ago when I picked up The Last Oracle book in the series on vacation & I've loved the series ever since. I love that Rollin combines history, science & that extra bit of adventure into his novels. My mini vacation is sadly over but I'm still really enjoying this book.

While I always enjoy Rollins novels this was not one of my favourites. It was an enjoyable read but not as much suspense as I normally expect with his writing.

The book had all the things I love intrigue a mystery and a disease. End was tied up a little quick but still follow James Rollins style.

We took a 7 hour bus ride today from Mendoza, Argentina to Santiago, Chile. The views were stunning almost the entire way, so I went back and forth from reading and looking out the window. Even though it was long, it was probably one of the most pleasant bus rides I've ever been on.
