Roll the Dice | Wayne Avrashow
post image

April is nearly here! I refuse to believe it! March has been really busy for me so no pretty dice this month, just rolls from my lost in fey elf that doesn‘t like undead and is the tallest one in the group.

Here are the picks for April #roll100

Roll 1 = 100

Roll 2 = 6

Roll 3 = 74

claudiuo Thank you so much! Roll the Dice always makes the passing of another month a little bit more bearable! 3d

Morr_Books I literally just started one of the #Roll100 March books, so hopefully it'll be a quick and enjoyable read, so I can get to the April picks 😀 3d
Allylu I‘ve got three great books for April: #100 The Lives of Puppets by T. J. Klune; #6 All of Us Villians by Amanda Frody; and #74 Happiness Falls by Angie Kim!! Yay! 3d
Ruthiella Awesome! So far I‘ve managed to read all the picks in previous months. Hoping I can keep it up. 🤞 3d
Kenyazero Sweet! Pretty sure I forgot to do March and maybe even February, so I'll definitely do April! 2d
TheAromaofBooks Hmmm two of my picks have the word “Phantom“ in the title?? Feels random 😂 An old horse story called The Phantom Roan, and the children's classic, The Phantom Tollbooth. 2d

Mehso-so

I tried really hard to like this book, but Carver is such a self absorbed, moron of a character. He‘s 38 and so selfishly wrapped up in his own head that he projects his fears and feelings onto everyone around him. His reaction to his mothers confession (I saw her coming from the get-go) solidified my disdain for him. What a schmuck. The ending was somewhat redeeming, but I haven‘t read a more unlikable character in a long time. Book #74 in 2023

Not what I was expecting, much better! I enjoyed the character development so much, I felt like I knew each of them so well. Erin infuriated me so much, she didn‘t take nearly enough responsibility for her part in the fall!!!

This was a good read, characters trying to make betters lives, after being in Residencial Schools.

Bridgerton #2 did not disappoint. Anthony is a bit of an idiot and Kate is naive but they got where they needed to go in a satisfying way. #74-2022

22 #74 This book moved a little slow at times. I wouldn‘t say it‘s a page turner. It worth finishing.

🎧A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
I picked this up for 2 reasons, first- hello it‘s the season!! And second, to suffice the Play genre on my 2021 Bloom Reading Challenge. I‘ve seen the play and the movie adaptations but I‘ve never taken the time to read the play. This version was read by Hugh Grant and, while he did very well I did not swoon over his voice the way I thought I would. Book #74 in 2021

Kristina McMorris is one of my favorite authors and this book didn‘t disappoint! I have the physical book, but I listened to the audiobook which was well-done. This premise of this story is so sad, but the fact that people tried to help the families in this situation is encouraging. (Thank you @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks for my physical copy!) #100YEARS100BOOKS #74 #BookSpinBingo #22 #BFC21 #Tails&TalesforAdults #1 #AUDIOJUNE #1
