though the start was a tad slow, and though it was nothing like the netflix series, i really enjoyed this book. i love that you don‘t know who whistledown is yet. i also adore kate and anthony. i love their love, and their slow burn. it‘s love that makes you appreciate life, and i think their honesty with each other and love is beautifully written. reading this book made me want to read the rest of the series!

so-soDidn‘t really care for this one. I felt like it was the same story with different characters names. I liked the Netflix version better LOL
The caught in a compromising position, forced to marry, but really we are deeply in love thing doesn‘t work for multiple books.
The characters are really well developed either.
I am my best self when I am reading a book. I wonder if there is someone else out there who feels the same way. Books liberate me. Books make me feel that I am enough. Books make me feel that I have a purpose. For some, it‘s just paper; for me, it‘s everything.

so-soMeh. I thought the 2 main characters were too…not dramatic, but…too much with their fears/phobias. But then again, I haven‘t had their traumatic experiences.
pickpickI knew I was going to love this book because I was obsessed with Anthony since I saw season 2.
Love both Anthony and Kate, they were such a fun couple to see.

I liked characters and secondary characters made it even better.
This had nice historical athmosphere that was missing in the first book. Still not strongest aspect of these books but works well enough.
It seems like characters in these books always have some silly trauma that doesn't feel believable/realistic.

pickThis was a solid second book in the Bridgerton series. I enjoyed reading about Anthony and him falling in love with a girl he didn't think he would fall in love with. I mean it's very obvious that if the main character says "I will never let myself fall in love" he will 100% absolutely fall in love with the exact person he said he wouldn't. Dumby. Overall I really liked this and thought it was super sweet and spicy and scandalous.
pickI read this after watching the latest season of Bridgerton and, much as I liked the show, the book is better. I didn‘t feel that way about season one and the first book. I enjoy these characters and the dynamics between them. The book is fun and a diversion, which is what I think it‘s meant to be. The series is an alternate reality, and that‘s okay. I‘ve read reviews that intimate that you must take one side or the other. I disagree 👇
Sitting on the patio with my Kindle and Kleenex. I‘m going to get a lot of reading time this week, because I‘m isolating with Covid. Pretty sure I‘m over the worst of it, my biggest worry is trying to keep hubby from getting it. But I‘m going to try to take advantage of the time.
pickI loved everything about Season 1 of Bridgerton except for Daphne. Because of this I decided to skip Book 1.
It's amazing how this pretty standard Romance novel is transformed into the Blockbuster show. But that being said I actually liked the Bee story from the book better and how Love Triangle is pretty much non existent.
Will definitely read the next book that Seasons 3 is based on.
pickThis one was better! I lowered my expectations and it was an entertaining read. Worldbuilding got better, and while I still don‘t quite buy the regency era setting, at least it didn‘t feel like Wild West (almost). While I see why some people were upset with changes made in the show, but I prefer the way it turned out on the screen. I don‘t reject the possibility of continuing reading the series, just a bit later maybe.
I was meh about 1st season, but the 2nd one was awesome! Are books any good?
