Movie: Under the Skin
Beautiful Prose with an interesting and engaging dystopian plot
Some things you can never leave behind. They don't belong to the past. They belong to you.
Well it wasn't bad but very slow at first. I almost dnf it because it was dragging but I figure I'll keep reading. It actually got good towards the end. But if Evan is dead I am going to be really mad. Time for book 2 of the series!

Prompt: Independence Day
The 5th Wave is a chilling book set in a apocalyptic world where aliens slowly cull the human population down in waves. It was an excellent book with thrilling action and a surprising twist that leaves you thinking back on the rest of the book and how it relates. Great story telling, great mood, and great ideas would definitely recommend.

10 days after a spaceship arrives, the aliens conduct a human culling through waves. Cassie is one of the few surviving people and hopes to save her brother.
The fifth wave is a book that happens during an apocalypse, but in a way that‘s so realistic you can‘t put it down. It didn‘t make it to my top picks because it was hard to follow the perspective it was being portrayed at a given time, but all the same it had me on the edge of my seat, waiting to what will happen next l!
Hey everyone! Sorry I took a long hiatus from litsy but I'm back now! 2 things happened:
1. I have viral fever😔
2. Didn't have time to read any new books 😔
I wanted to restart my profile with this beautiful girl in the picture. The 5th wave (movie) is good. The plot is interesting, but the story turns a bit bland during the middle. The starting and ending is good. Cant wait to read the books
Feels good to be back!

Day 28: Mad Max Fury Road
I absolutely love this movie so I've waited for years to read the books because I didn't want to not like the movie anymore. But the movie actually follows the book pretty well! So now I love the book AND the movie! Cannot wait to get the rest of the books to finally get a conclusion ive been waiting years for!

Day14: The 5th Wave trilogy by Rick Yancey
@Andrew65
I saw the movie, decided to try the book. #TheBookWasBetter
Independence Day meets Maze Runner, toss in a little star crossed lovers and this is what you get. The book has great character development and storyline. Cassie is one hardcore kid making sure she keeps her promises to the ones she loves. 3.75/5⭐
This wasn‘t the very best book I ever read, but I enjoyed passing the time with it. It‘s been a while since I read a good book about teenagers saving the world. I look forward to the second book in the series.

Ok am more than 80% in & am having mixed feelings about this book. Kind of impatient about finishing this. But it's more like "can we just get this over with?" kind of feeling rather than "ooh how does it end?" kind of eagerness. Am not sure if that makes sense but I think I am mostly having neutral lukewarm feelings about this book.

I really liked this. Even as we get to know characters, it‘s hard to tell if they are trustworthy or not – the author does a good job of that, I think. It got better in the last little bit, and I just wanted to keep turning pages. Of course, it‘s a series, so I will – at some point – be picking up the next one.
This book really surprised me. I was expecting something so different. There were so many places the author could have gone with the story. Instead he kept it tight and focused. The characters were believable and I was totally absorbed with them. 5⭐ I already have the 2nd book on hold at the library.
I would give this book zero stars if I could. It has a predictable plot and bland characters, not to mention being full of bad alien invasion cliches and a cringy, unconvincing "romance." I only finished it so I could write a review in good faith and warn everyone not to read it. It is honestly the worst book I've ever read. I would honestly rather gouge my eyes out than read its sequel. I'm off to mourn all my lost time I spent reading this book.
⭐️3/5
The book itself is based on an interesting premise. However, the twist is beyond predictable, and i was able to put the book down for a month without picking it back up. That being said, I did enjoy it while I was reading it. Just maybe not worth all the hype it got.

I didn‘t finish this series because it didn‘t quite pull me in but the first book wasn‘t bad. I think I might have been burned out on the post-apocalyptic genre at the time.
Today a student of mine surprised me with some new books for my classroom library. She said she was going to try to sell them, but then she thought of me and wanted to donate them.
My day was just made. #teachermoments
Watching The Fifth Wave. Quite a good adaption. Mind you its been a while since I finished the book.
