Siempre a tus pies milord. A nice quick read to try out my kindle. Enjoying so far. Who else uses a kindle aswel as books? You enjoy it?

Ruthiella I absolutely switch between ebooks and physical books. I also do audio. I love that all have various advantages. During the pandemic, had I not had my Kindle to access library books, I would have had to have 😱 READ MY OWN BOOKS! 🤣 8mo
hannah-leeloo 🤣🤣🤣 I love that @Ruthiella 8mo
BookwormM I love my Kindle so much easier to read in bath than a real book. Also chunksters much easier to read . Arthritis makes holding big books hard 8mo

hannah-leeloo It's definitely easier to hold, I struggle with paralysis in my hands so it's nice to have something nice and easy @BookwormM ❤️ 8mo
Cupcake12 Is that a kindle case? I don‘t have one and now I need to look for one 🤣 8mo
hannah-leeloo Yup, I found it on amazon, Bilbo picked it of course @Cupcake12 8mo
eeclayton I love my kindle, too. It's so convenient especially for large books. I also find the built-in dictionary super useful when I don't read in my mother tongue. 8mo
hannah-leeloo I discovered the dictionary method yesterday. I was crazy happy hahaha @eeclayton 8mo
Birdsong28 I read alot of my ARC's on there. I switched back to a proper kindle rather than on a tablet in 2020 and I have read some much more as it just feels better and the screen is not as harsh. 📚📖 8mo
hannah-leeloo I noticed the screen is more comfortable @Birdsong28 as I previously used a tablet too. Glad I gave it a go 8mo
idealityandme I love my Kindle! Such a good option for travel, poor eyesight, and I enjoy how much cheaper books are too:) I have the Kindle Oasis. It's niiiiice! 8mo
hannah-leeloo It was confusing which to pick lol @idealityandme 😆 8mo
idealityandme Yes! They have too many options haha! But it probably doesn't matter which one you get as long as you get your money's worth out of it in the end:) 8mo
hannah-leeloo Quite happy with my 2022 version, it's smaller than I expected but that just makes it cute haha @idealityandme 8mo

BookmarkTavern I really loved this collection. I think my favorite was the time traveling bus. The combination of the whimsy of time traveling being paired with the absurdity of a London bus driver made me laugh out loud. 12mo
willaful Oooo, I didn't realize this was on. Let me see if I can get and read it quickly. 12mo

julesG @ozma.of.oz I really liked the time travelling bus. Wish it had been longer. 12mo
julesG It was also interesting to see where the Carpet People originated from. And I liked Santa looking for a job. 12mo
willaful I'm about halfway through the audiobook, which has an excellent narrator. (Sounds rather like “the Book“ in the Hitchhiker's Guide.) My favorite so far is the one about the stone age people. 12mo
willaful I think Santa was my favorite overall, although I thought it ended a bit abruptly. I think he and Mrs. Christmas should have gone on holiday with all the back pay. 12mo

Short stories from the early beginnings of Terry Pratchett‘s career.

Charming and delightful, as per usual with Pratchett‘s work. The stories are so varied, from stories about if the Borrowers had Borrowers, if Santa needed a second job, and a time traveling bus. But they all kept me giggling at work.

I‘d have adored an entire novel based on the time traveling bus. I gasped several times & fell in love with the characters so quickly. 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

julesG Agree about the time travelling bus. That story had a lot of potential. Looking forward to our discussion. 13mo

"We start tomorrow at dawn."
"Where to? Mount Everest?"
"Nonsense! That's like Disney World these days -"

Impressive work for a 17-year-old Terry Pratchett. Thankful for his services to literature and for his whimsical stories that can be both lighthearted yet comment so deeply on the human condition. My favorite stories were Dragons at Crumbling Castle, The Abominable Snowman, Father Christmas Goes to Work, and The 59A Bus Goes Back in Time.

This was supposed to be my fall-asleep-reading book, but it had me giggling so much that my plan didn‘t really work out. Lovely and funny short stories, this is great as a palate cleanser.

So fun. These are old kids stories previously published in magazines. The carpet people still give me the heebie jeebies and I definitely went a little nuts cleaning the house after this. The other stories are more to my liking. The author had an amazing imagination.

For some reason I thought this was thinner/shorter and paperback. I far prefer the reality. This is a lovely edition that will represent Sir Terry on my bookshelf quite nicely. I fear it‘s a ways off for the #OokBOokClub though.

I really enjoyed this short stories collection that Terry Pratchett originally wrote as a young man for his newspaper. On audiobook...they are the perfect length for running errands, or working on the yard. Light, short, fun, silly short stories! They'd make great little bedtime stories for children as well.

Gezemice I should read this!!!! 7y

Leniverse The ones about the Carpet People are my favourites. And my daughter's favourites too. 😁 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Leniverse I haven't read the books that spun out of those short stories yet, but I think I'm going to have to slowly work my way through his entire collection. 7y
Leniverse Yes, we went out and got The Carpet People after we finished the short stories. It was great fun. I can't actually recall what happens in which story now, it all blends together into one epic carpet quest. 😂 7y

Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Leniverse Awesome! I'm reading my way through the Tiffany Aching series now and really enjoying that so I'll have to try the Carpet People after I finish up. 7y
Leniverse That's one series of his that I haven't read. I should do that. 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Leniverse You should. I bet your daughter would enjoy that one as well. How old is she? 7y
Leniverse She's 10. Currently working her way through the Harry Potter books. 7y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Leniverse Yes! Perfect age for Tiffany. Who is also a young, soon to be, witch in her first book. They are a bit lighter than Harry Potter in some ways, I really enjoyed them both. 7y
Leniverse I'll see if the library has them. Sounds perfect for the library Summer Reading Challenge. 7y

Jay: This book was so funny. I like how the chapters were all different stories, so I never knew what would happen next! #jayreads Me: Couldn't love Pratchett any more, but these were great stories. The first real short stories I have read with Jay, and they were a great hit. Lots of laughs and silliness abounds.
