I read this gem with a great group over on Instagram. My favorite way to describe this book is that it is not your average smut. Really it is not smut, but the cover could be considered deceiving. Highly recommend!

I knew going in that this one would be good. What I was not expecting was to want the ending just as it was. Still not sure I am comfortable with that, but it get real. I highly recommend this one!

This! I am not sure what I expected when reading this, but it surpassed my expectation tenfold. I teared up a bit which I have not done in awhile when reading. This really is one of my top books I will recommend to almost everyone.

the_need_to_read We are just moving to another town. About 15 minutes from where we live now. The process is just taking forever. We are buying from my great uncle and the house needs work before he can actually sell and we move in. @HotCocoaReads 7y

Years ago I read a book I think was just called Jane. It was a modern version of Jane Eyre. It was a YA and read super fast and made me want to read the original. Years and years (or at least that is what it feels like) I accomplished that. I found Jane Eyre to be relatable in some ways and Mr. Rochester was a bit obnoxious for my taste, but overall I felt like this a pretty good read.

Shortstack What I do remember is loving the language and hating the long catalogs of information from the uses of every part of the whale to allegorical history of whaling. I'm hoping I'm more of a sophisticated reader this time and can appreciate it more. 😅 8y

MrBook @BookBabe and I read it, and we loved it! We had two of our bookclubs read it, and everyone raved about the book. They didn't like how Zelda was treated, but they appreciated the insights nonetheless, despite its fictionalization. 8y

I originally would not have picked this one up. It was a total case of judgement. I assumed it was some romantic love story.......those I am not of fan of. This book however is a book about family and a love of a family. It really is a must read.

the_need_to_read Funny thing about this one is I had set it aside because I started reading something else and just recently started reading his other book. My third grade son recommended this book to me and boy is this a good read. It is sad and makes you want to jump through the pages at times and you want to cheer Gram on. I am a little over half done and already would give it 5⭐️'s.

Has anyone taken on the feet of reading Infinite Jest yet? I keep trying, but have yet to do it. I feel the need to do it though.

While I liked this it isn't something I am running out recommending to everyone hence the rating. I think you have to be ready for Ignatius in order to pick this one up and really line it.

All My Puny Sorrows | Miriam Toews

I absolutely loved this book. As heartbreaking as it was it really made me think. I still get teary eyed thinking about the love of these two sisters.

A Man Called Ove: A Novel | Fredrik Backman

Oh my did my heart break several times. I laughed, cried, and laughed again all while reading one page. Backman does a great job of making you feel for Ove even if he seems unlikeable. I highly recommend reading this.
