Offsetting Penalties by Ally Mathews is a very sweet, humorous, & downright enjoyable novel about two people who come from two different worlds, but are very similar. Besides the story, what was fun was Garrett learning ballet. I liked Ms. Mathews use of terms & phrases. I also think that Isabelle and Garrett are perfect together. Overall, A+!

Kendare Blake's Anna Series is one of my favorites. I love Cas and Anna, boy-meets-ghost girl, romance. Throw in vivid imagery, creepy ghosts, and a so-called "Scooby" gang to join Cas in his ghost-hunt, & you have a wild story.

Defy the Stars by Claudia Gray is an amazing story where Ms. Gray creates an expansive sci-fi universe with interesting worlds, technologies & futures to explore. It gives you both a sense of satisfaction in the characters who you've spent chapters bonding with, but a serious case of wanting more. I'm ready for the next Noemi & Abel adventure & the ink isn't even wet on this one. I wholeheartedly recommend!

Rin Chupeco's The Bone Witch is one-of-kind & unique w/ its amazing world-building & attention to details. Tea is interesting & I want to know more especially how she goes from who she is in the past to the present (a kind of Elphaba/Wicked or Anakin Skywalker turned Darth Vader character). Secrets of a Reluctant Princess by Casey Griffin is a YA contemporary novel that, for me, was reminiscent of stories like that of Disney's Princess Diaries, the movie Mean Girls, or even the 80's movie Teen Witch.

The novel is enjoyable with humor, some drama, & a clear message that it is always important to be true to yourself. I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun and light novel to read.

Garden of Thorns by Amber Mitchell is an amazing debut YA fantasy novel that pulls you in from the first page through the last w/ its wonderful imagery & strong relatable characters. Traveler by L. E. DeLano is a YA sci-fi/fantasy time-travel novel filled with action, romance, and mystery. It has a very unique story and what I really enjoyed was the entire world building & mythology. Ms. DeLano's imagery in the various realities was magnificent for me.

I also loved the main characters, Jessa & Finn. Both were endearing & real in a fantastical world. It was a great debut novel & I look forward to book 2.

Against the backdrop of a mysterious small-town and a traveling carnival, Ms. Hocking invites readers to a strange and intriguing world where everyone is more than meets the eye. It is a great paranormal novel that had me riveted from beginning to end.

Ever the Hunted by Erin Summerill is a fantastic novel that is completely engaging & just pulls you in. I enjoyed it very much & happily recommend. Ms. Summerill puts us right into the thick of things from the start w/ the main character, Britta Flannery, in a no-win situation, hunting the boy she loved & who broke her heart. The author's descriptive imagery & well-written narrative are what really captured my attention from the start.

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is watching The Nutcracker on dvd (the one with Macaulay Culkin as the nutcracker-prince). On the Hallmark Channel yesterday they aired A Nutcracker Christmas with Amy Acker (

Nico by Sarah Castille is book one in her new mafia series, Ruin & Revenge. Filled w/ drama, action, & suspense this sexy romance had everything. My fave character was Mia w/ her punk rock & confident attitude. She loves her family (except her father) & will risk her HEA to ensure they're safe. I also liked Big Joe, support role, but he had depth & hard choices.

Arrogant by Jenika Snow is book six in her A Real Man series and it does not disappoint. Ms. Snow continues to create heroes who're devilishly sexy, over-the-top possessive, & even completely arrogant.

I enjoyed this installment in Ms. Snow's series. Noah is a bad boy in a suit & tie, both dominant & sweet. I loved the ending with the jumps in time. It is always fun & adds to the story to see where the characters lives go.

The Best Possible Answer by E. Katherine Kottaras is an emotionally charged coming-of age story of a young woman struggling w/ the aftermath of one mistake, while also dealing w/ her father leaving unexpectedly soon after. With the help of her best friend, a summer job, & a boy she once knew, she learns that it is okay to make mistakes & not be perfect all the time. Well-written w/realistic characters. A heart-felt must read.

Big Package by Opal Carew is a hot erotic novella filled with joy, good cheer, and...a big package (in more ways than one!).

It was a fun read with heat, humor, and romance. The plot is simple with a satisfying ending- pure entertainment and exactly what I needed after a long day. I very much recommend ❤️🎁❄️

Moon Chosen by P.C. Cast is the first book in her new epic YA fantasy series. The world has completely changed with the end of technology. It is filled w/ vivid detail with a portion of the beginning setting up the distinct individual groups, and the dangers forthcoming. Overall, it was an enthralling and fantasy novel that leaves you in the end with questions that need answers, excited to know what happens next. I eagerly recommend!

For This Life Only by Stacey Kade is an emotionally moving coming-of-age story filled with heartache, love, forgiveness, and learning to find yourself.

Stacey Kade has created such a great story with strong characters especially amongst Jace, Eli, Thera and Sarah. It's well-written, realistic, and filled with these characters that just pull you into their story.

I loved it! ❤️

The first twenty pages had me glued! Anxious even, and it was just the prologue! ❤️ I couldn't put it down until the end. Loved Amanda and Chase. #amase

Meat by Opal Carew is a fun & sexy novella that had me envisioning a hot and kinky version of a hallmark channel movie mixed with Hell's Kitchen.

I very much enjoyed Ms. Carew's story especially the sexy humor & the even sexier characters (the title refers to more than just Rex's specialty of food). The little bit of restaurant intrigue and mystery behind Rex being hired as the new chef was also great.

I definitely recommend Meat by Opal Carew.

Daring the Bad Boy is a fun and cute romance w/ characters that just make you want to see them get a HEA. Jacob's backstory pulls at your heart, and the way he is with Annie is so sweet! My favorite scene involves a paper fortune teller & a paper airplane. You need to read to find out more!

Overall, a great story by Ms. Murphy. I very much recommend.
