I read a couple of spooky children's books yesterday. I really loved the illustrations in Ghoulia. IT has that creepy, cute aesthetic that growing up on Tim Burton and Nickelodeon has conditioned me to love.

Four books down for #BookSpinBingo so far. I don‘t know why I never thought of using children‘s books before. They‘re so short that I get to mark something off the board fairly quickly. Not all of these are children‘s books, but at least half of them are. Maybe, if I work at it, I‘ll get a bingo this month! :)

I read this as an #audiobook, and I think it lost a little without me being able to see the pictures. It was still really enjoyable, though. I listened while I walked this morning to meet my #audiowalk goal for #BFC21.

I also used this book for one of my spots on my board for #BookSpinBingo & for a spot on #LittenListen bingo. My first book for #spookoween as well.

This was a cute child‘s book. I was feeling nostalgic and I would‘ve loved it as a kid. It‘s about a zombie who wants to make friends in the neighborhood and goes out during Halloween. Quick read but a young kid who likes spooky things would love it.

Thank you so much @AmyG I just said to someone recently I wanted to read this book. It looks adorable. Those stickers and socks will go into use really soon. #nightmareswap.

Ps I might have to fight Josh for the Twix if he notices them when he wakes up.

Ghoulia is a zoombie and lives in Crumbling Manor with her Auntie Departed. She wants a friend but is afraid the other children will be scared of her. On Halloween she joins the other children who are trick or treating. A book with a good lesson for children that friendship comes in many forms.

I just adore Ghoulia! This book is so fun and has such lovely illustrations!

Amusing story about being yourself, even if you‘re a zombie.
First book of #bbrc! I‘m going to enjoy this. Kids books are more fun these days.

Great kid‘s book

A very promising start to a new children's series!
Ghoulia is a regular little girl who happens to be a zombie! On Halloween she sneaks in to town to trick or treat with the other children.
A funny story with excellent illustrations, Ghoulia includes great messages about friendship and acceptance, I'm already looking forward to book 2.
