My daughter‘s first trip to the library a couple of months ago! We make it a regular visit now as she is already all about the books.

Tagged is one of her favourites. I love sharing the library with her 🥰

Lexeegee The best picture I will see today!
2mo
ravenlee Awesome! This is how my kiddo started, and now at 8 she‘s voracious and is a library fiend. She actually gets upset on days we just do a drop-off/pick-up without browsing - even though we go to the library 2-3 times per week. 😆 2mo

Bailedbailed

I bailed on this one! The synopsis was all completed within the first few chapters and it just didn‘t keep me interested.

A coworker of mine once said that after he‘s read the first 100 pages and if he‘s not captivated to read more, he moves on to the next one. “There‘s plenty more books to choose from!” he said. I follow this now too as it makes perfect sense to me!

Curious to know at what point you bail on a book?

xicanti I give books three chapters or fifty pages. 4mo

Mehso-so

Although the book kept me interested during the first few chapters, I felt it dragged on with no new information on the characters or the plot. I believe the author could have expanded on the characters more as I ended the book with lots of questions!

The ending was abrupt and had no real climax to it. I turned the last page with a feeling of indifference. I was surprised that this book was given such glowing reviews…

⭐️⭐️

BoleyBooks I think some reviewers are sometimes embellishing their reviews in hopes of getting a “pencil” from the publisher on NetGalley. I appreciate you keeping it real and honest in your evaluations. I felt sad for giving a three star review to a very popular author recently…the new book just didn‘t measure up. 5mo

Ok - so this was my first read after an almost year hiatus! (Re: baby!!) Anyway, I found it to be a good, easy read and a page turner.

However, I do feel as though some information could have been elaborated on a bit more.

In the end, I didn‘t see the twist though suspected that something was off as things were seemingly beginning to wrap up…

tpixie Congrats on your baby! And welcome back to reading! 📚👶🏻📚 5mo

This book was written by Fran in the 90‘s and, being a huge fan of The Nanny all my life, I have ALWAYS wanted to read it.
Finally took advantage of Amazon Prime and got me a copy. I can‘t put it down! Fran is amazing and has gone through some pretty terrible stuff in life yet - she continues to be such a positive, funny lady! ❤️

PerksOfBeingABookworm I liked The Nanny too! Have you watched Living with Fran? I didn‘t know about it until it popped up on my Hulu. I haven‘t had time to watch it, yet. 2y
darklydreaming @PerksOfBeingABookworm Yes! I‘ve seen some of it but I actually prefer her other show “Happily Divorced”. It‘s based on some of her real life (her husband and her divorced because he came out as gay - they still remain the best of friends!!) 2y

I love this book! I love Coraline‘s bravery. It‘s quite the imaginative story.

Neil had originally started this story for his daughter but he had other projects on the go. “It was a story, I learned when people began to read it, that children experienced as an adventure, but which gave adults nightmares. It‘s the strangest book I‘ve written, it took the longest time to write, and it‘s the book I‘m proudest of.”
