This was a weirdly cute quick read. It tells the story of a woman down on her luck who is asked to help out a college friend. It turns out to be a very unusual nanny job. It‘s hard to categorize, and does not always make sense. However, it is very charming and I really liked our main protagonist. 4⭐️

This debut novel by a Perth surgeon was ok. Reasonably well-written in a fairly bland, some may say, surgical style 😝. A somewhat engaging mystery about the origins of a painting. I enjoyed reading a book set in Perth and Melbourne, as I‘ve lived in both cities. #bookclubread

Jeg I‘ve yet to read it. Last minute read. 14mo
CarolynM Interesting. I haven‘t seen this one about. 14mo

If I had one complaint about this one is how the ending seemed harsh in how abrupt it seemed. This is #reesewitherspoon book club pick and I loved it. There was something so romantic and heartbreaking about how the first Oxford Dictionary came to be and How Esme found her place. Have Kleenex handy and settle in. #bookclubread #mayread

This has got to be one of the most charming stories I‘ve read in a awhile. All of the characters, to include the octopus 🐙 really come alive on the page for the reader. It‘s also a story that will remain with you after the last page is read. #bookclubread #washingtonstate #readingtheunitedstates

marleed I thought so too. A completely different reading experiences, but when I was done I was left with the fells I experienced last year reading the noted. And that‘s a very good thing! 2y
KristiAhlers @marleed yes! I read that book also and was so charmed by all the characters and storyline! I love discovering reading gems like these. 2y

I belong to 4 different book clubs and this is a book choice for one of them. I found this to be an emotional and amazing read. I truly enjoy how this author crafts her characters and her storylines in such a way you honestly don‘t want to put the book down. This is the second of her titles I‘ve read in two weeks. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ easy #bookclubread #readingchallenge2022

Addison_Reads I get so excited when I see others who loved this book too. It's a favorite of mine. 💚 2y
charl08 4 book clubs? Wow. I am in two, one online and one at work, and they *always* seem to clash, leading me to scrabble to finish on time! 2y
KristiAhlers @charl08 I find if I dedicate myself to one book at a time I can normally get them all in. But, if a book doesn‘t speak to me I opt out for the month. That‘s happened a couple of times. 2y

I adored everything about this book. From scenes from a dogs POV to Elizabeth and the lessons she learns as she goes through life. So many engaging characters. Seldom do I believe books deserve the hype some get when a new release comes out. This one does and more. You‘ll laugh, you‘ll cry and you‘ll smile. Serious subject matter but covered in a way that makes the reader feel good about time spent with book in hand #bookclubread

Not only is there a great story between the covers of this book but you learn as well. I think this is the one time an audible book won‘t be as good as there are pages of teaching. Took me a second to catch on that dialogue wasn‘t tagged with quotes but otherwise solid read! #bookclubread #reesewitherspoonbookclub #readingchallenge2022
