We pulled out the sofa bed in the living room so I could have a cozier reading spot for the evening hours of #24in48

In need of some major comfort reading, so I‘m pulling out the big guns. And by big guns I mean the coziest book series of all time.

I have several old bookmarks from John Rollins Books - the first independent bookstore that I loved. It went out of business a long time ago, and I cherish these bookmarks as a reminder of the happy hours I spent roaming their bookshelves.

I ran 2.3 miles at sunrise, hiked 7 miles with the hubs, and swam 24 laps today. I‘m now eating pizza in bed with my book, a perfect cozy end to an active and wonderful (but exhausting!) day.

I‘m loving this audiobook (fits right into my arctic exploration obsession). And the narrator is great. I‘m curious though about the choice to use a male vocalist. The book is written by female. It‘s a piece of non-fiction, journalistic storytelling. It could be read by a male or female. But I‘m wondering why they chose a male. Is it that tales of adventure / exploration are still seen as masculine? Would men not want to listen to a female voice?

This audiobook is giving me so much decluttering inspiration! I have a three day weekend starting tomorrow and I can‘t wait to start cleaning and purging.

It is, of course, impossible to pick a favorite book. But this is the one that comes to mind most often and most frequently when I think of "favorite book" - so this absolute treasure of a novel will get the distinction today. #30DaysofReadathon

I went into a bookstore this morning to see if they had the new issue of a magazine I like. They did not. I came out with these instead. I have a problem. (But it's a wonderful problem.)

saresmoore I have this problem, too. And this other problem in which someone posts about buying a book that you already wanted and then you want it even more... 😁 2y
