⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Erica never lets you dow! This book has great character development, a great storyline (though I warn you it‘s highly sexual & was a bit too much for me at times), good plot twist featuring a red herring & a good ending! Would recommend to anyone wanting a good psychological thriller / mystery but again it‘s based around graphic sexual content! The book is 500 pages, which is a little more than I think it required but worth it!

⭐️ ⭐️Having read Riley Sager‘s previous book, Final Girls, I was excited to read The Last Time I Lied. This book has a good storyline, a great “twist”in the end HOWEVER it was not executed well. The entire book is wrapped up in the last ten pages & left me wondering WTF the previous 260 pages were doing because they weren‘t properly building up to this thought out plot twist. The developing story did not do the plot twist justice...

Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo | Taylor Jenkins Reid

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Seven Husbands oF Evelyn Hugo is a great rags to riches read, set up like a biography, about Hollywood in the 50‘s-70‘s! Touching on life in Hollywood, publicity stunts, lies, domestic abuse, gay rights, cancer, looks, love & so much more! Also a look inside a non-traditional love story discusses how hard it was to identify as anything other than heterosexual during that time period & the fight to love who you love and be who you are!

⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 I was skeptical about ordering this book but so glad I did! This book hits on all kinds of topics such as rape, rape culture, the struggle of coming out, religion, using religion as a way to mask / rationalize intolerance & more! If you‘re interested in the Duggar family fiasco this book is for you.

Lying in Wait | Liz Nugent

⭐️⭐️ “My husband did not mean to kill Anne Doyle, but the lying tramp deserved it.” That is the first sentence of this book & would compel anyone to keep reading. However, a few chapters in you find out why they killed Anne Doyle. Its down hill from there. This book is not really about a murder story & family secrets but more about a beyond controlling mother, her son, & his interest / obsession with Annie Doyle‘s sister whom his parents killed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I couldn‘t put this book down! I legit had a hangover when it was done because it was such a good read. This book is sick & twisted but written tastefully & told from the perspective of a victim & the deceives on the case. There‘s no secret to who the bad guy is but the story is developed so well & all things considered had a “happy” ending of sorts! ORDER NOW!

Unwifeable: A Memoir | Mandy Stadtmiller

⭐️ UNWIFEABLE BECAME UNREADABLE! Now I always finish a book but damn! I expected this to be a funny memoir where I laughed out loud between paragraphs. ABSOLUTELY NOT. If you want a wipe away tears funny read grab “Let‘s Pretend This Never Happened” NOT THIS. For me, this book was an over sexualized failed attempt as sexual humor. Honestly I didn‘t laugh once reading this book and cringed counting down how many pages were left when Id had enough.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is not Orange Is The New Black! BUT it is a collection of stories told about life behind bars, how they got there, and so much more. This book does try to grasp some harsh realities that are true to modern day life for poor, under represented, & struggling American lower class. This book was less about her story & more about perspective! This is a GOOD read IF you can stomach it!

Cinfhen Great review!! I‘m half way through so your perspective helps me put this book into place 😀 6y
Soulsby @Cinfhen Thank You! How did you feel about it all in the end? 6y
Cinfhen I wished it ended differently and I felt pretty detached the entire time. 6y
Cinfhen I thought it could have been better. 6y

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A mommy group for newbies, a missing baby, a murdered man, a secret childhood superstar. There are secrets & ugly truths hidden & exposed throughout this book! Multiple narrators sure to surprise you in the end! Wasn‘t as good as I expected it be due to the hype this book has received but a good read none the less!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Then She Was Gone is a well developed & multi layered story that delves into the lives on a family who‘s daughter has been missing for years. With chapters from the present & the past as well as multiple narrators you get a full 360 view into the characters life‘s, what happened, and what‘s to come!

⭐️ I really wanted to like this book, as a full time artist myself! However, I felt the writing was all over the place. For me, personally, it made this book hard to get into. The villain in this story is also completely at random. As a reader not only would you not have guessed the villain but you‘re left confused how the author randomly plucked the villain out to begin with. Unfortunately, this book was a let down.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As a life long crime sleuth & someone with two degrees focused around criminal justice - if you‘re a crime buff THIS IS A MUST READ! This notorious case was unsolved for over 40 years until April 2018 when they made an arrest. I had just finished the book when the arrest was made & having it be unsolved when I was reading this book I can tell you there were a few sections that made my skin crawl. You will defiantly leave a light on!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book is told from 1 point of view, Mike‘s, who‘s a narcissistic stalker fixated on a woman named Verity. If you can get past the obvious struggle of reading it from Mikes point of view it‘s a good read! Though this book could have been better had the author included Verity‘s point of view the book is very well written. I didn‘t love the ending but did love the point the author was making about societies view on men v women.

Jess7 Agreed about the point it made and about the ending which was really meh IMO 6y
Soulsby @Jess7 totally agree! Great point! But the ending irked me... of course that was the intended point I suppose & how the author desired us to feel! Still wish the author had incorporated V‘s POV! Maybe it would have softened the blow of the ending 😳 6y

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good read but not worth the hype! I figured out the first “big twist” pretty early on so when it was revealed about half way through I had long put two & two together. The second twist is kinda far fetched but not unbelievable. There is so much emphasis placed on a past story from one of the characters you knew it had to tie in which it ultimately does for the second twist. Finally the ending was extremely built up so it fell flat for me.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Not usually a fan of Historical Fiction but this book was amazing! A murder mystery / love story told from multiple narrators & time periods. It will have you guessing until the end & curious about each and every character.

⭐️ NO! JUST NO! DON‘T DO IT. The only reason I keep reading this book was because I wanted to know, had to know, what happened at that damn party!! So Incase you have to know - turn to page 233! And once I knew, I thought everything was blown out of proportion. What happened was terrible but most of the adults in this story act a fool. I always finish a book but not for me. It truly drove me mad & made me feel guilt for the time I wasted on it.

⭐️⭐️ The husbands secret is figured out pretty quickly in the beginning but the details of that secret pan out throughout the book. SPOILER ALERT: remember the movie “Mean Girls”?! AMAZING MOVIE but the writer seemed to get what I call the “Monopoly Game Mentality” where after so many hours you‘re like “F*** THIS S*** YOU WIN” & so Regina George gets hit by bus THE END. Well folks, that‘s exactly how this book ends. Literally.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I read this book before the HBO series came out & I‘ll be honest with you... I picked it up & put it down 3 times. Finally, I decided to push through & Im so glad I did! Once you get a few chapters into this book its worth all the hype it‘s achieved! Secrets, lies, & a search for the truth that will shake the ground everyone stands on!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book will grab your attention from page one as you run through the wood with Quincey. Final Girls is a good read about a club no one wants to be apart of. A club will girls who were the soul survivors in horrible murder cases. One girls story, however, isn't over! Quincey, the main character, will have a new ending she never expected to her tragic story & a new villain.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Best Psychological Thriller I've read since Gone Girl! The story is told backwards instead of chronological order which keeps you reevaluating everything you thought you knew until the end! A story of what family will do for family!
