I‘ve never read P&P (I know, I know)
but I do have a soft spot for #vampires & #spookyseason!
Have any of you #pemberlittens read this remix where Darcy‘s a vampire? 🧛
Should I add this #gothic tale to my tbr?

Ok #hashtagbrigade it‘s time to start talking about Frankenstein! I‘m going to check out the chapters later today, but for now, who wants to join in for a chapter a day? Just remember that my hashtags are often ridiculous and always chapter spoilers, so don‘t read the post until you‘ve read the chapter!! Anyone can join in! Just drop a comment below!
I just picked up this new edition of Frankenstein at Barnes & Noble last night! Okay, if you are looking to purchase Frankenstein - this is the one to get! Not only does it have a cool cover and gorgeous page edges, but it also has the original introduction from Mary Shelley AND Polidori's and Byron's stories from the night Frankenstein was created! It's really awesome! 💕📚
Catherine‘s holiday at Bath seems to be all the better for her introduction to the Thorpe siblings. & then it‘s love at first sight when Henry Tilley enters the scene.
This was a sweet romance that also did a fantastic job of showing the difficulties of getting ensnared into a toxic friendship, as well as how important it is to find a partner who truly understands you. I would have liked more time @ Northanger & w/ Tilney & his sister.🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑
Husband bought me this Swedish version of Dracula 3 years ago and I‘m going to try to tackle it again. It‘s a chunkster I was trying to read for Halloween but didn‘t make it. I‘m starting it earlier this year. The existence of this rare and unique book is a historical literary mystery. Read about this book to find out more. #hauntedshelf #blackcatcrew @BookwormAHN @PuddleJumper
Although this book was published in 1983, Susan Hill wrote it like a true Victorian/Edwardian author would. I checked multiple times because I had trouble believing it was only written 42 years ago. I love the premise of the ghost story, but it took too long to get to the point. Plus, her writing is something to get used to as you‘re reading. The ending was NOT what I expected though. I would still recommend for the overall story.
My tbr list for #hauntedshelf #letsgopoints. Ambitious but I still have my other challenges ongoing, Octavia Butler books for #authoramonth and #Samoa books for #foodandlit. I‘m very excited about these books even though I know I won‘t get to them all. Must also include my #whattheDickens books!!
Rereads: Frankenstein, Dracula, books 1-2 of All Souls. I‘d love to finish all these books beyond the trilogy!
Well, as of yesterday, I finally caught up on posting reviews for all the things I read in the months I hadn't been posting!
Now, pictured above are all the books I read over the last two weeks or so while I've been playing catch up.
I'll be posting my reviews of them soon, just at a more sedate pace. 😆
Thank you @PuddleJumper for the graphic.
All right #BlackCatCrew here are my Team Leader picks for #HauntedShelf for books: The Witches of Eastwick by John Updike, Frankenstein by Mary Shelley & The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty.
This isn't a buddy read. You can read these or any other Team Leaders book picks for an extra 15pts on top of whatever other points they count for 🐈⬛
