The Unhoneymooners | Christina Lauren

Pickpick

This was a cute rom-com of the enemies-to-lovers type. After a whole wedding party gets food poisoning, the bride and groom urge their sister (of bride) and brother (of groom) to take their free honeymoon, even though the two hate each other. Or do they? 👀

My first Christina Lauren, but definitely not my last. The premise is outrageously unbelievable, but the banter was great even if I‘m a little tired of “enemies to lovers” trope. I liked that the MC was of Mexican descent and had a big lovely family. I thought the character growth was good and believable. But mostly this is fluff and just what I needed while not feeling well. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

cleoh This one and Josh and Hazel‘s Guide to Not Dating are two of my favourites by CLo! I keep meaning to pick up another one but I always forget when I‘m in the store 😂 6d

Waiting for Tom Hanks | Kerry Winfrey

BOOK REVIEW ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ just finished up reading #WaitingForTomHanks by @kerrywinfrey and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I did feel as though Annie was a little on the annoying side about making sure her life aligned up to the likings of a romcom but she started to grow on me as the story played out! I will definitely be reading more from Kerry Winfrey! ❤️

My first book finish of 2020. I needed something light and easy so this was perfect. Yes it was a bit cheesy but a sweet read. I loved the cast of characters in this one.

Maybe it‘s this killer migraine, but this one just didn‘t do it for me. Very bland, obsessive love letter to Nora Ephron and rom-coms, was found the heroine beyond ridiculous and the plot too twee. Quick, light read, but it didn‘t give me the warm fuzzies I wanted. 👍🏼👍🏼1/2

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“The Flatshare” was a really cute read that also touched on some serious topics. I thought the characters were well done and the novel itself kept me reading late into the night. I would definitely read another book from this author in the future.

🚨CONTENT INCLUDES: emotional trauma, abuse, stalking, false incarceration

Reggie That Justin was crazy. I loved her friends, Rachel, Mo, and Gerty. 2w

Tiffy‘s just been broken up with and needs a place to rent. Leon needs money for a lawyer for his brother and is willing to rent his bed for nights and weekends. They bond over post it notes left for one another and it‘s just so intensely charming and funny, even if there is a crazy, happens more than we think, gaslighting, ex in here. I liked all of Tiffy‘s friends and their interactions. I really liked it! Thanks so much for the book, Jennifer!

My current reads. A Discovery of Witches is for a buddy read in a book group. I don't know that I will finish it though. Waiting For Tom Hanks I've been listening to the audiobook and enjoying it. I'm finally feeling better after being sick the last month and dealing with migraines. So I just wanted something light and easy to start the year off with.

Came up as a free Kindle Unlimited read. I started a few pages just to check it out and ended up finishing it like a bag of potato chips.
