(Day 3: Brown) I bought my husband the Making of series by Rinzler because he‘s a huuuuge Star Wars fan. Guess who ended up reading them? They are really interesting. And, as a bonus, if someone breaks into my house, I could kill the person with one blow. These books are crazy heavy. #ColormePretty #photochallenge #StarWars @Sweetkokoro

Sunraven I love that photo. 😆 2w
Lady_Tigana_20 I ❤️ baby Chewie. 2w
Scochrane26 My friends love Star Wars so much that they‘re planning their 3rd trip to Celebration next yr. I‘ll have to remember this book when I need to get them a gift. (edited) 2w
Lady_Tigana_20 @Scochrane26, that sounds fun for your friends. We‘ve never been to Star Wars Celebration, but we are planning fourth trip to WDW partially to see Galaxy‘s Edge—the Star Wars expansion land in Hollywood Studios. 2w

On directing film | David Mamet

Interesting set of classes Mamet taught about interrogating each shot in a film, demanding that each shot fit the hero‘s superobjective and thus creating a clean dramatic arc in which every shot communicates the hero‘s progression. Quick read on the craft of film.

Gezemice @EadieB We had tickets this year but there are too many on the same day so I only saw two. 1mo
EadieB @Gezemice That is still very cool! 1mo

“Anderson‘s movies are always about the loss of a world, often childhood, sometimes family, sometimes the world we‘ve created out of our own self-identity. But this is the first time he has concerned himself with the destruction of a civilization, the end of an era, and the terrible ways in which our lives - our own personal and super-absorbing dramas - are deformed by the larger histories we are embedded in.”

What a stellar introduction.

Soubhiville What a cool book! 1mo
LeahBergen I just recently watched this film and looooved it! 😍 1mo
TobeyTheScavengerMonk @LeahBergen It‘s so good! He‘s my favorite living director. His next movie is set in Paris and I can‘t wait. 1mo

“What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey. That's a pretty good idea. I'll give you the moon, Mary.”

(Day 16 - #LeTempsDeLamour)

*I love Wes Anderson—the above represents a few of the techniques of his visual style—flat-space camera; symmetrical composition; snap-zoom shots; knolling; handmade art direction; and kids acting like adults & vice-versa. I couldn‘t use movie stills because of copyright issues, so these are just random exemplars of the Wes Anderson style.

rohit-sawant Oh, love this post! Fantastic collage! 2mo
Cinfhen Very cool collage 🙌🏻 hope you‘re feeling better 2mo
gradcat @rohit-sawant @Cinfhen Thanks, you wonderful people! And yes, I‘m feeling a bit better. ♥️ 2mo
