A really great story about found family! I would‘ve liked a bit more festiveness, but I enjoyed it.

I colored this picture on one of my coloring apps. I wanted to write a haiku about this movie.
Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas
I only watched the movie once but I liked it
There‘s debates online about whether it‘s a Halloween or Christmas movie
I‘ve heard it‘s a Christmas movie but I watched it during the Fall when I saw it the first time
It depends on when you want to watch it, I guess

I didn‘t enjoy this one as much as the first book, The Christmas Bookshop, but it was cute. IMO, it needed way more Christmas-y feels. A soft pick.

Loved it! I love a good enemies-to-lovers romance (it‘s my favorite trope) and there was lots of Christmas festiveness. And from now on, when I see a candy cane, I will think of this book! 🤣🤪
#bookspinbingo - got another bingo!

Yes, the plot is nothing new. Girl meets Girl and they fall in love. But Arlow adds a lot of interesting things to her story: Shani's interested in paleoichthyology - how cool is that? And it's a Christmas story, but from a Jewish point of view. Also, all the love for Raphael the Corgi. Who could resist a corgi?
This was a pretty cute holiday romance…nothing groundbreaking but I liked the MCs and there was plenty of festiveness in this short listen!

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it.

So cute! I thought there was enough holiday vibes here, plus there was depth and spice. And I do love the grumpy/sunshine trope, and in this case, the MMC was the sunshine!
#bookspinbingo - this is my #bookspin for this month!
