8 Hours in the Reverse Readathon 💖

Sadly the last four hours I was doing my last minute homework till midnight and took a break. My homework was to read 10 short stories written by my classmates so maybe it counts in the bingo board? 😂 But now that I have some cookies and milk, I‘m ready to finally tackle my books!

4th Hour of the Reverse Readathon! 💖

After I finished reading The Tea Dragon Society by K. O‘Neill, I was happily surprised to have FOUND there‘s a companion and sequel!! Definitely last minute additions to my TBR for tonight. Will start full on reading after the last of my homework is complete! 💕

Here‘s my TBR for my first ever readathon!! Might be a bit ambitious considering how much homework I need to get done today, but I‘m happy to take part 💛

Moving from audio to print for hour 2 of #deweysreadathon I was lucky enough to meet Alison Arngrim back in February before the world turned upside down. She was as friendly, funny, and #genuine as her alter ego Nellie was ornery and selfish. #readathonhourlyphoto #deweyapril

tpixie How was this as an audiobook? 2y
starrdom @tpixie I thought it was a good way to consume it. Performances were good but not great. As a story, some of the points of view were written much more strongly than others and I found myself wanting to stay with some of the narratives and not turn to the others. 2y

#DeweyOct #readathon #ReadathonHourlyPhoto #hour4 #Spooky The spookiest place I‘ve ever been is definitely the Quarantine Station on North Head in Sydney Harbour. My two eldest & I went on a Lamplight Ghost Tour about 10yrs ago & I not only felt, heard & saw a ghost, I took its picture. So many people have died there over it‘s 160yr history, the atmosphere is so heavy especially in the hospital ward & the shower block.

ljuliel Do you have the picture of the ghost ? I believe in them myself. 2y
Lizpixie @ljuliel no unfortunately! It was taken on an old phone over 10yrs ago and I lost all my photos trying to move them from phone to phone. In it it was all black except for a white outline of a person, there was definitely no one behind me at the time, I was the last of the group to enter the verandah. Freaked me out! 2y
ljuliel That is so cool ! It looks like a neat place to visit. 2y
Lizpixie It‘s actually a hotel now, though I don‘t think you could pay me enough to sleep there! Maybe sit there all night waiting for something to grab me, but there‘d definitely be no sleeping👻 2y

Spring Has Sprung! | Mitchell Kriegman, Kiki Thorpe

#DeweyOct #readathon #ReadathonHourlyPhoto #hour3 #AutumnOrSpring It‘s spring here in Sydney, though it already feels like summer. Yesterday was 38C(100F)& the spring storm season is in swing. The only thing I love about now is flowers everywhere, this is part of my wisteria vine, I love it not just coz it‘s gorgeous, but also coz it was started with a cutting from my next door neighbour of 20yrs who‘s no longer with us. It always makes me smile💜

squirrelbrain That is beautiful! 💜 2y
Tamra Lucky you!! 🌸🌼🌝 2y
Lizpixie @squirrelbrain thank you! It covers the whole fence as well as my carport & it‘s creeping over next doors carport as well. Sheila, my neighbour, was a character & she‘d be so amused that it‘s taking over & annoying both mine & her hubby!😋 2y
Sace Absolutely stunning 💜💜💜 2y
CarolynM Beautiful! We used to have wisteria all over our front pergola when we lived in Canberra. Haven't had success with it here. I miss it. 2y

#DeweyOct #readathon #ReadathonHourlyPhoto #hour2 #ReadingSpot This is my magnificent La-Z-Boy chair/bed/throne. I always told my boys that when they moved out I‘d turn their bedroom into my library so they couldn‘t come back. So when my youngest son left a few years ago, I whacked up those shelves the minute his heels cleared the front door! All jokes aside, I‘ve always wanted a home library & the hubby outdid himself in making me one.❤️

BGam Oh my .. 2y
BGam This corner looks so cozy and pretty 💐🤩 2y
ljuliel So pretty ! I like all the bright colors. I bet it‘s cheery in there even on those cold grey ugly days outside. 2y

Just setting up for the #readathon #deweyoct today #deweyreadathon #readathonhourlyphoto and can‘t wait to dive into some graphic novels. I can‘t read the whole day since we have plans for the night to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary but hoping to get through this stack during the day maybe.
