I think I'm crashing the #seasonsreading2016 party because it's Jane Austen's birthday today! My favorite #janeaustenadaptation is the 1996 "Emma." I totally want a friend group like this, where we host balls, pick strawberries in fields and have picnics. And if anyone would like to propose to me someday, please do the scene at the end of this movie. Or at least incorporate Rachel Portman's soundtrack. :p. Emma's issues were so relatable here.

Persuasion is my favorite Austen hands down. I ❤️ Captain Wentworth. My favorite adaptation, movie or book, is the 1995 film starring Amanda Root and Ciaran Hinds.
