It‘s not that I am a perfectionist, I‘m just determined to get them all done is all. Is this denial or rationalization or both.

Eggs I respect that and we‘ve really enjoyed all your posts! 3mo

The snacks were good, but sadly the book not so much .... This was the first Tempe Brennan novel I've read in ages (I used to love them) and it was just really disappointing. The ending was epically unsatisfactory - it felt rushed, like Reichs got fed up writing. 😕

TrishB They are definitely on a downhill trajectory in this series. 4mo

I enjoyed the narrator for the #audiobook. Decent story. Good pacing. Good characters. I‘m not sure about all the books in the series, but this could be read as a standalone.

Slow going at first, almost bailed.A thread of interest kept me reading. The pace picked up;the plot thickened. The Mexican archaeological dig had a history of a cave-in stopping it‘s operation 5 yrs earlier. Now they could resume the dig.The plot was interwoven with an ancient Mayan Tlaloc curse which materialized in the present.A crew member,Emma declared she was in contact with a “personage…Huluc-Canab” from Tlaloc time, creating a humorous touch.
