It was a decent book. It wasn‘t as entertaining as I thought it would be. This book is mainly about this kid named Nicholas and what his life is about. He goes through lots of struggles and drama. If you like books based on someone‘s life I recommend this to you. I would rate this book a 6/10

Cfischbuch Thanks for your honest review. 6h

I enjoyed this summer camp story of friendship and first love. The puns were amusing, and the messages of finding your own identity while negotiating friendships, crushes, and family issues were well written. Yet, the best parts for me were the musical descriptions, and I even found a Tolkien reference.

I'm going to let my 10yo have this review. The book is really geared toward her age group, in a way that's honestly alienating for adults who read it. But she loved it, and this is not her usual genre, so here is what she said: "The characters were very realistic and the things that happened were touching. I really liked it."

I enjoyed this YA novel, but I guess I‘m just too old for YA angst. The description was good. The musical puns were funny.

It Started With Paris | Cathy Kelly

IT STARTED WITH PARIS by Cathy Kelly- It was a okay read, sometimes you got a little lost toggling between characters. I found the ending a bit of a disappointed, it was too rushed. After spending so much time with the detailed life of these characters, it would have been nice to know what happened with them.

Read this as a family. The story is about two tweens that play online scrabble together. They both are having family and friend problems. There is nothing compelling about the plot, characters, or writing. It's boring at times and annoying at times. My boys didn't enjoy it either.

Proof that daydreaming is therapeutic! Loved this book🤗

wanderinglynn As a fellow daydreamer (who also used to get scolded for “having my head in the clouds”), this sounds like a lovely story. 3mo
