In Vermont we are still buzzing from this event. The total eclipse was so beyond anything I could have imagined. The cold, the darkness, the stars, the return of light. Strangers embracing strangers. Grandchildren running wild in the darkness and screaming that it was the best day of their lives. It happened in my backyard and it was sunny (unheard of!) I see why people chase this experience. It has affected me deeply. 💕💕

Bookwormjillk That‘s great! We were only at about 85% here but I loved that for about a half hour everyone just stopped and observed nature. 2w
Aims42 I saw it from my backyard by myself and I think being with a crowd would make it infinitely more exciting 😁 It was cool, but being with others would‘ve made it even better 2w

squirrelbrain Sounds like a wonderful experience! 2w
kspenmoll It must have been gorgeous in the snow. I stayed home with the cats while F& R went to my brother‘s in VT- they traveled to Shelburne Museum where they had spots for the day. They returned, astonished, dazzled,Awestruck, with this universal & community experience. 2w
LeahBergen So cool! 2w
Cathythoughts Brilliant ♥️ 2w
youneverarrived ♥️♥️ 2w
Leftcoastzen I was thinking you would be in a good spot for it!Yay! 2w
Suet624 @Aims42 It's funny because I couldn't tell if my experience would have been even better if I were by myself :) 2w
Suet624 @squirrelbrain It truly was. I'll never forget how it felt, that's for sure. 2w
quietjenn I very much relate, although I saw it in Ohio. Kinda want to become one of those eclipse chasers now. Just phenomenal in so many ways 2w
Reggie Very cool, Sue! 2w
Suet624 @quietjenn My family and I all agreed that we could see why so many people chase the totality of the eclipse. There's nothing like it. 2w
Suet624 @Reggie It's truly a once in a lifetime event. I hope you can experience it sometime. 2w

My cards are going out a little late, but should arrive before the end of the month. Seems apropos considering the sudden return to chilly temps and the occasional snow squall! I hope everyone loves the poems I selected as much as I do!! To me, spring conjures images of all the creatures peeking from their burrows and dens and snug hidey-holes! Happy Spring!! 🌸🌈🌦️🌿🐿️🐇🦡🦔

Thanks to my good friend @Librariana for sharing her Pantone colour boards! I have one book I haven‘t placed yet because I can‘t decide which colour best fits. So far this year I‘ve enjoyed everything I‘ve read and this challenge is making it so much more fun! Can‘t wait to continue to add to this.

Librariana Aww! Such a good job on your collage 😊 (I'm glad the app is working for ya) And look at how many covers you already have on! The #Pantone2024 Reading Challenge is gonna be so fun now that you're joining us. Yay! 2mo

Unfortunately @Clwojick won‘t continue her #Pantone challenge but on Storygraph I found that Anglelist (not on Litsy) has created the #Pantone2024 challenge based on the release of the NYC & London fashion weeks.
I thought I‘d share this with you, for anyone who enjoyed the past years. Thanks so much for hosting, Cassandra!

Here‘s the Storygraph link: https://app.thestorygraph.com/reading_challenges/aa210f16-cb9f-4f3d-b941-47e5677...

Eggs Thanks for the tag❣️ These shades are beautiful! I‘m in 🥳 4mo
BarbaraBB @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Actually, @Lauredhel made a much better graphic and someone one Storygraph created the challenge and list so I am only just sharing because I liked the challenge so much 🩷 4mo
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @BarbaraBB can you explain this challenge? I missed it last year! 4mo
BarbaraBB @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Sure! Each year there are colors announced by the NY and London fashion weeks that will be the trend that year. We try to read a book for each of these colors: matching a color with the cover of a book. You‘ll see plenty of examples when you follow #pantone2023. For an overview of the colors, visit link on Storygraph I shared above or take a screenshot of @Lauredhel ‘s post on it. I hope this is helpful, if not, let me know (edited) 4mo
