The drama, the talent, and the music still have an impact today. Rumors wasn't just an album, it was a once in a generation piece of art. Christine McVie and Fleetwood Mac created music inspired by their joys and pain, creating a pantheon of hits over the decades. Very few groups manage this kind of longevity, and Christine was the one who kept it all together. Can you imagine a world without songs like "Don't Stop" or "You Make Loving Fun"?
Very inspiring bio focusing on the spiritual life of actor and activist Martin Sheen. These are some of the religious figures who influenced the awakening of Martin‘s faith. He certainly turned his life around. What a kind, passionate and caring human being who stands up for what he believes in-no matter what. Now I want to binge-watch The West Wing and Grace and Frankie!
Ok. It had a lot of information I didn‘t know, that i did find interesting. He‘s thorough on facts, but he‘s soft on that kind of look-back analysis. And the writing is just poor.
@Cuilin If only I could sit under this tree, I would love to be buried in its leaves. 🍁 🍃 #Litsolace
I‘ve been listening to this. It‘s an example of awkward writing mixed with seemingly excellent information. The writing is about as finessed as the audio cover image - an audiobook produced by the author. Despite all that, I‘m getting good stuff out of this so far.
I love Whitney Houston‘s & Kygo‘s version of Steve Winwood‘s “Higher Love.”

I remember this #Lamp titled Scholastic book from the 1970s about Florence Nightingale. I think it was my sister‘s.

Such wisdom.
This was a fast-paced nonfiction read filled with gritty and grisly details. This provides a pretty detailed account of Sinatra‘s relationship with the mob and their involvement in US politics. Most surprising was that Sinatra was never offed by the mafia. His childish temperament and buffoonish behavior seemed to cause the organization more headaches and lost opportunities than keeping him around was worth.
