I saw both @CogsOfEncouragement and @kspenmoll post about the tagged book, so I looked up the author, and I have to say she won me over completely with her intro! 😄👌🏻

CogsOfEncouragement I enjoy her free Friday emails she calls 5 Quick Things. https://www.tshoxenreider.com/ 8mo
MaureenMc I love her current podcast with Seth Haines, A Drink with a Friend. 😊 8mo

My family truly enjoyed “Shadow & Light” during Advent 2020. I am looking forward to using “Bitter & Sweet” also by Tsh Oxenreider during this Lenten season which begins March 2.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫I really enjoyed this Advent book! Spanning from November 24-January 7, the whole season of Advent through Epiphany is covered. Often as I was reading, I remarked on how refreshing it was to have to really use my brain to read an Advent book.
The poem “Black Rook in Rainy Weather” by Sylvia Plath was definitely a stand out entry for me, as was “The Holy Mother” by Romano Guardini.
I will definitely be reading this one again next year!

Religious texts aren't for everyone, for many reasons. But this one maybe should sneak it's way onto your reading list. Much of its advice is sound therapeutic ideas and strategies for life, regardless of belief. It tackles difficult topics without being overwhelming or browbeating in nature. Just a simple chapter for each day of Advent, always ending with a nice quip. Short, good read that fits both Christmas and New Year's.

I finished this advent devotional & I feel as though I have encountered Christmas itself. Moving, soul searching, thought provoking. #christian #scribd #advent #christmas

🌟🌟🌟🌟I started this and finished it in one evening on Christmas Eve, but I could see how this could make a good weekly devotional for Advent as well. It was interesting taking a closer look at Elizabeth, Mary, and Anna and how women are really important to the Christmas story.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This devotional book was something I discovered while visiting my parents. I enjoyed it so much that I am purchased my own copy to use again next year, and I plan to read through The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe along with it next year!

Also, sorry in advance for the bunches of posts that I‘m about to do to catch up from the last two days!
