I've been quiet on Litsy because my beautiful sister & niece were visiting from Florida for 3 weeks. They left last night & I'm feeling blue 😭 I didn't get to take part yesterday but I'm here today for #belowzer00s ! I spent good chunk of the early aughts up until 2006 in Winnipeg, Canada so lots of clubbing & gigs in my early 20s. batsy @Reggie That's a great album! I went with Family Affairs to fit the time period & because it was so iconic. There was never not a club that wasn't playing it! Aaliyah and Mary are both such icons 💜 4y

batsy @BarbaraBB Ahahaha yes, I loved our gloomy 90s picks! 😆 This was the time period I discovered the pleasures of dancing without giving a damn, I think, and so I think the songs kind of reflect that 😁 4y

Nute It‘s difficult to be apart from family. Often I resolve these sad emotions by thinking that separation sweetens the next reunion. I hope it comes around soon!❤️{{{HUGS}}} There is so much good music listed here that I was into as well...we are kindred spirits! 4y

What??? After 11 hours of endless storytelling you decide to stop smack in middle of the story!!!?!!??
I was not familiar with Kate Mulgrew the actress before picking up her memoir. She absolutely has had an astonishing career and distinctive life but truthfully I didn‘t walk away a fan. Her ability to spin a yarn was wonderful & her sultry voice was tranquilizing but I found myself often feeling sorry for her kids & the choices she made. 👇🏽

CoffeeAndABook That does sound frustrating & not quite satisfying. But at least she had a sultry voice - I love listening to people with great voices, so much so that I wouldn‘t care about the content at all if it was soothing. Hope you had a happy Chanukah 🕎 Cindy!!! 😘 (edited) 4y

Once we reach this point (all presents ready to go) I do relax and it‘s a lot of fun 👏🏼 4y

KT1432 Oh wow! The only thing I knew about her was that she narrates a lot of Joe Hill books and I thought she did a great job with NOS4A2. I probably won't pick this one up lol. 4y

Cinfhen She has such a great audio voice @lele1432 @Cathythoughts and she‘s spunky as hell but I also thought she had a sense of entitlement and superiority that came across as a little arrogant where Sally Fields felt much more humbled and down to earth. 4y

Got this in the mail today 💗💗💗 one of my all time favorite books as a kid. I use to get in so much trouble for keeping a notepad with everything I seen and what people around the house said 😂 I had my own rock collection too. Each rock had their own names and I‘d play with them often. I wanted a utility belt but my parents were assholes and refused to get me one lol I can‘t believe it‘s taken so many years to order this book💗
