I love a good mystery! I'm not sure how I've never read any Agatha Christie before!? #ReadingThroughTheYears192021 #1923

kspenmoll I hope you enjoy the Queen of the English mystery! 1w
DrexEdit My mom recently cleared out some attic space and she said she found a whole box of Agatha Christie's. I'm like "how many?" "what condition?" lol! I'm not good at subtle! ? 1w
Scochrane26 I didn‘t read any of hers until about 3 yrs ago. Now, I‘ve still only read a small amount but working on them. 1w
CaroPi I have only read 3 of her books but planning to read as much as I can. My favorite so far is (edited) 1w

I'm not a huge fan of short stories, but I like Stephen King, so I thought I'd read this collection. Some of the stories were really great, some of them were pretty good, and some of them just weren't. The Mist was absolutely my favorite of all the stories! #ReadingThroughTheYears192021 #1985

Bklover I loved The Mist! 1w
CaroPi The mist is one of the strange cases that I like the ending 1w

This Side of Paradise | Francis Scott Fitzgerald

I enjoyed reading F. Scott Fitzgerald's first novel, a story about Amory Blane, a young college graduate trying to find his way in post-World War I life.
#ReadingThroughTheYears192021 #1920

jewright Amory annoys me so much! He‘s so whiny! What did you like about the book? 4w
CoffeeNBooks @jewright I really like Fitzgerald's writing style. He captures Amory's sense of angst over trying to find his purpose in life. 4w
jewright @CoffeeNBooks I love Fitzgerald‘s other books The Great Gatsby and The Beautiful and the Damned. I probably should try it again. 4w
CoffeeNBooks @jewright I love Gatsby! I have The Beautiful and Damned on my bookshelf, and it's the next Fitzgerald I plan to read. 4w
jewright It is my second favorite after Gatsby. I hope you like it! 3w

I enjoyed reading this mystery about missing vintage wine. I was actually a little bit familiar with some of the wines from having read In Vino Duplicitas, about Rudy Kurniawan and the biggest con in wine history. #ReadingThroughTheYears192021 #2009

The writing of this was a bit bland, but it was still a somewhat interesting story of the Astor family and the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. It also talked about some of the Astor properties in England. #ReadingThroughTheYears192021 #2006

Wow! This book started a little bit slow for me, but quickly became a book I didn't want to put down. It's a story about a circus unlike anything you've ever heard of. I love how creative and unique this story was! 🎪

wanderinglynn @pilardib There‘s a movie? Last I heard, it had been optioned by Lionsgate and a director had signed on, but that‘s the last I heard about it. (I‘m always behind on these things.) (edited) 4mo
ulrichyumiodd @Cortg Same here! I tried it on audio and couldn‘t focus. I‘m planning to buy a physical copy someday to try again. 4mo
