I love that Bushwick is not only the backdrop but also a character that I didn‘t know I needed. Bushwick has a life, a soul, & independent of the characters around it. Welp this book has me by the throat!! I can‘t get away from the story. Unlike the previous book by this author of a reimagined fairy tale, this book is based off a story of a disciple of Hecate and how myth and truth are woven together to tell the stories of a time before internet. This magical story with real life reference and even more practical responses to magic is amazing. #poc #woc #magical #ny #plants #wlw #lgbtq #hecate #greece #legacy

I really enjoyed the book. It is a solid 8 out of 10. Fun urban romance, if you are looking for knitting inspiration this is not the book. I will admit, I have been crocheting more since I started this book. So there is that, I am hoping the author makes a whole series about the brothers, I want to get into their lives! Still fun read, recommended for a summer read. #harlem #knitting #realmenknit #poc #woc #ny #yarn

ReadingRover Lol I actually never had an official name because it‘s just me so I just called myself The Petsitter but I don‘t do over nights so I just got cards made that say Pop A Squat Pet Care because I do more than just dogs.😆 I‘ve been doing it for over 20 years with no website or anything, just networking. It never seemed necessary 😝 I used to work at a vet and I know a lot of people who refer me through the animal world. It‘s works! 5y

Jess7 I didn‘t read this post close enough — I‘m an attorney in Cincinnati, OHIO - so nope we didn‘t get the day off - but there was ALOT of snow on my car this morning outside of my house that I had to clean off. It wasn‘t fun and I‘ve been jealous all day at all the people that were off today. 🤣 (edited) 6y

RinaBrahmbhattBarot @Jess7 I used to live in Columbus, and agree, at best they used to send my hubby home early but in NYC (due to subway) it's safe not to take any risks and let people off early. All kids had no school today as well! 6y
