Jumping to it out of the gate! I‘m at a #hotel in #CostaRica tonight, flying back to #NY early tomorrow. Hoping to get some good time in for #24in48 on the #plane! @24in48

Readerann Plane reading!! I love it because I don‘t feel guilty about not doing something else. 😁 4d

A sweet ending to the series. Lady Jane began uninterestingly but she grew on me, & her friendship w/Frances was cute as it developed. I also enjoyed the relationship. With Lady Jane & the Comte both approaching it slowly & warily, I felt like the story gave them a good amount of time & space. My one complaint is that there wasn't enough of the poor relations themselves, but the way their stories wrap up is heartwarming & charming. I'll miss them!

Hey everyone! Sorry to be showing up so often on your feeds today 😆, but I just wanted to share a Litsy milestone with you! I‘ve reached 18,000 Litfluence thanks to my wonderful interactions with you all here on this site!

These milestones are usually blown past by the time I usually get around to checking Litsy, so I am happy to have caught it for once!

Tagged book is another book I started today🤦‍♂️😁

I remember reading this from my mom's collection. A little soapy and melodramatic, but it kept my attention. Aaron Spelling turned it into a horrible TV series in 1983, starting James Brolin, Connie Sellecca and Betty Davis. One critic described it as "The Love Boat on dry land"

Cinfhen I totally remember this tv series!!! I remember the dramatic staircase 😉 1mo
RamsFan1963 @Cinfhen The book was set in New Orleans, but the TV series moved it to San Francisco for some reason, maybe easier to film location shots. Another case of the book being better than the adaptation. 1mo

Jónas life is falling apart and he'd decided to end it allby going to a chaotic, war-ravaged country thinking his death there would be of little consequence. He stays at a formerly #grandhotel and fixes the nuisance plumbing, then a few other things around the hotel, then a few things in the neighborhood, then well you can see how this is going.

Another successful fair in the books (haha)! This one I ran as the official chairwoman. It was a lot of work, but I'm so glad I was able to contribute to my son's school. As a disabled person, I have struggled with reclaiming my identity and figuring out ways I can give back to my community. This feels right. 15 more fairs to run until my son moves up to the middle school!

This novel took me by surprise! I didn‘t think a book about a depressed middle aged man, with a passion for tools, would be my cup of tea. It totally was. I really liked the book and found it hard to put down. Yes, the subject matter was dark and serious but it wasn‘t depressing. It was original and had a lot of gallows humour. Everything was written in a respectful and loving way.

My second reading spot in the garden ready for hopefully a lot of reading. I just need more flowers and greenery 🌱📚 My dream is that the children will play peacefully outside while I sit inside the greenhouse warm and relaxed reading. Last summer that happened only once 🙈😅 #readingspot
