Has anyone had any experience with this particular mystery series? What do you think of it? Are they more like cozy mysteries?

I keep seeing them on sale, and I‘m not sure whether they‘re something I should start or not. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

jillrhudy They are real classic British mysteries and I love them best. “The Nine Tailors” is up there with the best Agatha Christie. 4y

ScientistSam @CareBear where is Book Barn? For RJ's, I was wondering whether anyone would be interested in carpooling from New Haven or Hartford. Otherwise the trains seem a little intense (3 trains?) to get all the way out there but I need to check MetroNorth again. @katydid927 would you maybe be interested in carpooling? You mentioned you're also coming from NYC? I'd be happy to chip in on car rental/gas. 5y

Amiable @ScientistSam Book Barn is in the Niantic section of East Lyme. There is actually no train station there—the nearest stop would be Old Saybrook, which is about a 10-minute drive from East Lyme. The train is the Shoreline East, which runs from New Haven to New London. It‘s the same train that you would take to get to RJ Julia‘s— that stop is Madison. (I ride the Shoreline every day, so I can help with any train-related questions!) (edited) 5y

I have a question for everyone: Have you heard of or used the app Scribd? My friends were talking about it so I thought I‘d check it out and it seems too good to be true. For $8.99 (after the free trial) you have access to an unlimited supply of digital and audiobooks. I downloaded it to see their library and there are so many books I want to read! So, what‘s the catch?

I'm thinking of organising bookish retreat where we meet, read books, have good food, chat, probably near #NY #NJ #PA area. Will you be interested for a weekend get together?
