Went to Los Naranjos today. I won‘t lie to you. It was heartbreaking. The people in this house have four children. They waited out the storm in a shelter and came back to find that their house had been looted.

We met with members of the community on Saturday and what they want more than anything is beds. They lost their mattresses, bed linens, towels, etc. and have been sleeping on the floor since the hurricane. We are still trying to figure out the logistics behind buying 203 beds ($44,000) , but my friend Garrison ( @gibblr ‘s husband) has pledged to donate all the money he raises in the link below to our efforts:

Littens, I need your help. Tomorrow I will visit Los Naranjos, a community my school adopted. For the 18 months we have created a tutoring program to help kids succeed in school, brought activities such as coding and sports clinics on Saturdays, and even offered a free summer camp program. During Hurricane María the sewage plant next to the community overflowed, as did the rivers to the north and west. Every family lost everything. ⬇️
