Pickpick

Finished this one on Friday. It was really good. Lots of twists and turns. Such a great book for an #AudioCommute as it kept me engaged and I didn't have to think about how cold and ugly it was outside! Ha! Anyway, I will have to check out more from this author :) #LibbyLoan

Found the picture randomly on the internet. I love these “cute ghosts“. They are adorable!

This #LibbyLoan came in in time for laundry, chores, organizing, prepping, etc. (I work Tues-Thurs) this week so I want to get some stuff done 💛💛

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I‘m doing the same!! 4w
ElizaMarie @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks This month, my schedule will be Tues-Thurs (for orientation), but then I think my schedule would be similar to what you had mentioned yours is: on 2, off 1, on 4, off 7, then repeat (edited) 4w

Mehso-so

So. I finished this the other day (the driving to and from work is making #AudioCommute books more of a thing). I enjoyed it. I am not going to say I don't, I just felt like... I am burned out by all these “games/puzzles“ this family is a part of. I feel like sure - it's interesting but... it feels overdone. Maybe it's good there isn't another one (or maybe when they do the next one, I will be ready).

Just liked this picture.

This one was tough. Some of these stories resonated with me, but others felt like they were just mean-spirited.

During my hematology appointment, I had planned on reading but found it uncomfortable, so I ended up listening instead.

RaeLovesToRead Mona Awad is a great writer, but I HATED this book with a passion. I think it was supposed to be more satirical than it came across. If you're buds with me on GR I've written practically an essay about it. 2mo
ElizaMarie @RaeLovesToRead I don't use GR, so I don't know if I “follow“ you or “friend you“. I only have an account - don't remember when/how I signed up. But I would love the link, to read your thoughts on this. 2mo
RaeLovesToRead This is my profile... not sure how to send an individual review: https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/35995783?ref=nav_profile_l 2mo
ElizaMarie @RaeLovesToRead I was able to find your review --- And YES! You definitely hit the nail on the head. There was very little personality given to her other than being the “fat girl“. And it was just too much! I am glad I am not the only one that didn't enjoy this one. Bunny though --- I loved that one! 2mo

So, this one (of course) ended a bit abruptly - being only Vol 1; but... I don't know if it caught me enough to even care to read Vol 2 (it's not currently available on Libby - so I would have to “look“ for it). Oh well. It was “eh“. #LibbyLoan #NotAnotherGraphicMonday

Sharpeipup Be sure to watch the Netflix movie when you‘re done. 2mo
ElizaMarie @Sharpeipup Actually I saw the Netflix movie first (I don't normally watch the movie first). But I really enjoyed the movie, that I figured I would love to visit the source material (I am already loving it!) Also, I am enjoying how its got enough differences (so far) to make it a little fresh. 2mo

These titles are easily accessible via a #LibbyLoan. Any of y‘all read these? Or recommend any? (Books tagged in comments).

Any final thoughts on our last read together? (For now 😏)

TheBookHippie I could not get past the first bit, but I‘m sure it‘s me. Plan to pick it up in a couple weeks and try again. 3mo
mcctrish @TheBookHippie I really enjoyed this on audio and zipped through it - I continue to work on Wintering in print which I think I like better but it‘s easy to not pick up 3mo
MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm This one really fizzled out for me and I ended up being rather annoyed with it. I think the author needed to refine the last two chapters more to get her point across. I might pick up her other book because when she was on topic and coherent, I enjoyed myself. I think it was just that the format she went for in this one didn‘t work in her favor. 3mo
Librarybelle I loved Wintering, this one not so much. There were a few quotes I liked, but I could not connect with her in this one. 3mo
TheBookHippie @mcctrish I loved Wintering!!! 3mo
TheBookHippie @Librarybelle phew. Not just me. 3mo
ElizaMarie @TheBookHippie I recently got the #LibbyLoan of it, and it just... didn't “speak“ to me either. Not sure if it is something I should pick up later. I was curious to see everyone's discussion to help make that decision. 3mo
