Sarah1960 I soooo loved this series of books! It was a huge undertaking, as they are long. However I went through them so quickly because they are beautiful, heartbreaking and energizing! I am now, and forever, a dedicated Robin Hobb fan!!! Continue with the next set it is even better. 💕📚💕📚💕📚 6y

GrilledCheeseSamurai I haven't gotten to this series yet but it's on my tbr. Just the other week in the bookstore I almost pulled the trigger on the whole set. For some reason or other I held back or got something else instead. Need to make time for it though. 👍 6y

My favorite fantasy book? Way too hard to choose. But those are some of my "hidden gems", and of course the almighty master Terry Pratchett (Pyramids is not my favorite by him, but the first one I found in my moving boxes). The Lies of Locke Lamora is one of the books I reread every few years, along with The Name of the Wind.

Btw, what's your favorite fantasy book?

GrilledCheeseSamurai Great picks! I still haven't read that Glen Cook series. It's been on my radar forever now. Gonna have to stack it to help remind me. I don't really have 1 absolutely favorite...but the Memory Sorrow and Thorn trilogy by Tad Williams is one that means alot to me!

Sisasuku @GrilledCheeseSamurai I dimly remember starting the Dragonbone Chair about 15 years ago and finding it incredibly boring. Maybe I'll give it another try sometime. Back in those days I mostly read fast paced "shallow" fantasy stuff. 6y

Sisasuku @GrilledCheeseSamurai @Cheshirecat913 I had a bit of a hard time getting into the first book of the Black Company, but after some time I was hooked! Read the whole series without taking a break for another book. If not for my mountainous TBR pile I'd do a complete reread of the series. 6y

The Name of the Wind was my first foray into "proper" fantasy. I had always thought it wasn't something I would be interested in, but these books definitely changed my mind (and I recommend them to anyone who will listen). So I'd love to expand my fantasy reading, so thanks for the chance to win @GrilledCheeseSamurai #hiphobbinto2018

LoveToReadLiveToRead It was the same for me with these books. A while new world of fantasy books opened up to me when I finished these books, enjoyed them so much. Read The Lies of Locke Lamora shortly afterwards and loved that too. 6y
