How did I forget how amazing this book is?! Bea is WAY better in the book, and the movie has no June at all.

I‘m still entirely in love with them movie and watch it daily, but the book is its own amazing, wonderful, beautiful thing.

bookandbedandtea @GingerAntics The book (as is typical) is just so much richer with detail. I LOVE the whole Richards outing them/ Raf going rogue- in fact every single thing about Raf- story so I was really bummed the movie didn't have time to cover all that. Plus, as you mentioned, no June and a watered down Bea.🤷‍♀️ Now I'm sounding like I don't like the movie. I do! I just wish it could have been a 6 episode miniseries. 😉 7mo

I love her from the book, but there are times I just roll my eyes at her in the movie. “I‘ve broke up with my bf so he won‘t get a broken heart too, my mother doesn‘t give a crap and hasn‘t even been cast for this movie, and I feel like I‘m gong to be alone forever because I walked away to keep grandpa happy.” “At least you won‘t be King!” 🤦🏼‍♀️ (edited) 7mo

So, like my character doesn‘t really give a crap about her brother, his feelings, or his current emotional state? Well, alright then. CarolynM I have to say that is is something I always struggle with in the History plays. They make sense while I'm watching them, but when I try to remember any specific details I get tripped up by all the same name / changing name stuff😂😂 (edited) 5y

GingerAntics @CarolynM right? It seems that each time period in history has a set of names that were popular so you end up with multiple people with the same bloody name. In this case, it was all done by HenRichEdward and we‘ll all move on. 😂 5y
