#ChillingPhotoChallenge #day10 #Grim I love movie Trelawney much more than the book one. Emma Thompson makes what is a very weak & annoying character, memorable & funny. #Scareathlon #TeamSlaughter 2points #PointsTotal-162

FantasyChick Holy Crap!! I have seen these movies a million times and not once did I realize this was Emma Thompson. 🤯🤯🤯🤯 2mo

#RedRoseSeptember #day10 #WithMyLittleStickOfBlackpoolRock I adore Blackpool Rock! Our gran brought us back some from her last visit to England before she died, I will forever associate the smell of rock candy with her. Anyway, this is the 1st book to come to mind for this prompt, in this Australian classic, 14yr old Abigail ends up in a time slip back to The Rocks in 1873 & is taken in by a family living above a shop pulling taffy.

#AugustABC #Day10 #Jealousy This recent read is driven by jealousy, from both the murderer, the victim & the whole group of friends in an arts college. The victim, Richard, recently overlooked for a part he considered his, becomes jealous & violent which in turn drives his friends to become disgusted with his behaviors pushing him to lash out until one has enough & snaps, killing him, leaving you to empathize more with the guilty.

#AyUpAugust #Day10 #Stop Nothing could stop the firebug this book is about, certainly not before he started the conflagration in the Latrobe Valley, Victoria, on a stinking hot summers day that became known as Black Saturday. The amount of destruction he caused, and the deaths that happened on that day will never be forgotten. In a country like ours, bushfires are a yearly event but some are so vast & destructive they scare even the most jaded.

squirrelbrain Another one of that sounds really interesting - stacked! 4mo
LeeRHarry This was a great read - Chloe Hooper writes such good nonfiction 😊 4mo

This is a super cute book. A nice read for summer. They also made a movie on Netflix with the same name. I think they actually did a pretty good job with it. And John Corbett is in it. I‘ve had a crush on him since My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

#Riotgrams #Day10 #Retelling

Someone on Litsy recommended this Beauty and the Beast retelling to me, but I don‘t remember who. It was recently on sale for kindle so I finally snapped it up. Can‘t wait to read!

Jeralyn I really loved that one, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! 6mo

#MarchIntoThe70s #Day10 #BlueBayou I grew up listening to Linda Ronstadt‘s Simple Dreams album. My dad used to play it every time he drank so I learned them all by the time I was 6. Ronstadt was part of the Laurel Canyon crowd, along with The Mamas And The Papas, The Eagles, Joni Mitchell & The Doors. I would‘ve loved to sit in Mama Cass‘ yard, listening to Crosby Stills & Nash play music whilst the mountain breeze plays with the wind chimes.

Pricel101 My teen years were so similar. I know every word to that album ❤️ I loved Emmy Lou Harris, Bonnie Rait, .. all that music is dear to me too. 9mo

#MusicalNewYear #day10 #Cabaret This is one of my favourite Phryne stories, not just because it involves the cabaret of Gilbert & Sullivan, but because it introduces the lovely Lin Chung into Phrynes life. Against the backdrop of the singing & acting farce of Ruddy Gore, plus the search for a ghost & a murderer, the urbane Chinese man becomes an indispensable part of Phrynes world. #phryneappreciationclub #lifeisacabaretoldchum
