Children plus dog explore the island in the cove where one of them lives and look for treasure.
Pure nostalgia with the book which is my earliest memory of owning a book. Read in memory of my uncle who gave it to me and who died last week.

Such a fun reading challenge from the Betsy-Tacy Society! I'm pretty sure I've got a good number of these done already; BRB, going to see for sure and post about it. How many have you inadvertently checked off this year? And what about registration for the #BetsyTacyConvention, have you checked that box, too? 😜 #BetsyTacy #MaudHartLovelace #DeepValley

A solid middle-tier Nancy Drew entry. Nancy assists Madame Alexandra, a former queen living incognito in River Heights, in locating her long-lost grandson—the sole surviving heir to her royal lineage. Along the way, Nancy encounters pickpockets, a suspicious imposter, and a jeweled Easter egg that holds a cryptic message. Ideal for nostalgic ND readers or those seeking a light, classic whodunit.

Well, Litsy won't let up upload an image today. Ah well. This sequel to Pollyanna is almost like two books in one. The first half takes place only about a year after the first book ended. P is able to walk again and is happily living with Aunt Polly & her husband. When Aunt P & Dr end up going abroad, P goes to stay with a woman in Boston, and we kind of get a repeat of book 1, with P spreading sunshine and happiness to all and sundry. However, ⬇
Here‘s a late #hyggehourreadathon post. I was just too tired to post anything and make it make sense. :D
My youngest son and I read together because my youngest daughter was playing video games with her older siblings. My son got the Pokémon book because they gave away books to kids who signed up for the reading program at the library.

A fun mystery for Nancy and crew. So much happens in this one! Kidnappings. Pickpockets. Ferry crashes. You name it, Nancy survives it and solves it! I actually found this one delightful despite the non-stop chaos. #nancydrewbr
