I‘ve had this on my physical TBR shelf since 2011, (at least) and my Goodreads TBR since 2014. I think I would have enjoyed this much more if I was younger-I found the constant navel gazing and the YA Movie Tropes to be annoying. Most of the side characters were flat and I hated how two of the girls were written like mean girl tropes, nothing else. At least it‘s off my TBR. 😅

Last quarter check-in for #booked2020 . I completed it! I am glad to have done it as it made me read out of my wheelhouse a little (gothic horror 😅) and I tried my best to read off my own shelves.

A group of female coworkers decide to take a stand against a culture of sexual harassment and chauvinism in the office. The writing was great, and all of the characters so perfectly complemented each other. Can‘t believe I let this sit on my TBR for so long! #Booked2020 pick for #BottomofTBR

I‘m calling it quits. I enjoyed Zadie Smith‘s earlier works but this book is just boring. Two not so interesting girls doing nog so interesting things in a world of music and glamour. I know that the story will move on to West Africa and that might add a lot but I can‘t be bothered any longer.

Going to start this one for #bottomoftbr. It is the first book I added when I joined goodreads in 2013 and I bought the book when on my honeymoon in Hermanus, S. Africa in 2010. #booked2020

Many good ones, my absolute favourite was; Tvillingens dagbok/The Notebook. Clever writing indeed!

Not knowing much about the actual murder, I was not well prepared for the gruesome details and violence of it all. It made for a tough audio, and nothing I could listen to at night. It was also difficult to hear the glorified police brutality/racism by and witnessed by the main character, a detective. The obsession with the case was very interesting though, even if the ending a bit disappointing. #booked2020 #bottomoftbr #readmyowndamnbooks
