#hollyjollyreading #december #decemberTBR

This is my TBR stack for December plus whatever else I can fit in here. The first two are promised to #bookcrossing friends, 1 is for #lmpbc, and the last 2 should finish out #nonfiction2019. After that, it‘s whatever strikes my fancy 😊

OriginalCyn620 👍🏻📚😊 1w
REPollock Yay it arrived safely! 1w
Kaila-ann @REPollock it did and I‘m looking forward to it 😊! 1w

The Bride Wore Black | Cornell Woolrich

Pickpick

This was a page-turning and disturbing psychological thriller that features a female serial killer motivated by thoughts of revenge. It's similar in many ways to another Woolrich work, Rendezvous in Black. Thanks to the fellow #BookCrossing member who sent this book to me!

I'm at 10 hours and 15 minutes now for the #24B4Monday readathon and will try to squeeze in a bit more reading before bedtime tonight!

Andrew65 Great book choices, good luck. 😊 2w
rabbitprincess That is a bananapants Agatha Christie cover! I don't know which ones are weirder: the Fontanas or the Dells! 2w
kwmg40 @andrew65 Thanks! These mysteries are such fun and quick reads. 2w
kwmg40 @rabbitprincess Those 1970's mystery/crime covers really have a distinctive look! This one is from a 1975 printing. I wonder if the graphic designers of that time were told, “Open the book at a random spot and pick an item mentioned on the page. Repeat 3-4 times. Put items on cover.“ 2w

Bookmail! Anyone read this book? I'm quite looking forward to this one. I find that the older I get, the more I'm aware of the inequality between men and women.

BarbaraBB I did and had high expectations but ended up being disappointed unfortunately. 3w

This was a bit of a disappointment after The shafow of the wind. David Martin slightly annoyed me and I just couldn't care what happened to him. The ending was exciting though.

This book definitely broke my heart. The story of two women in Afghanistan, born to completely different circumstances and generations, who end up married to the same man. It is a story of friendship, betrayal, war, loss, abuse and ultimately love. This book will stay with me for a long time and will ultimately be one of my favorites. It‘s ready to travel and hopefully touch another reader. #bookcrossing #bookcrosser #bookmail

I selected this book at a #BookCrossing meetup to release in my #LittleFreeLibrary. The problem was that I browsed through the book before placing it on the bookshelf. You guessed it! I‘m reading it now...and I never did release it on my bookshelf. This book is cruel and mean so far. That‘s okay because it fits with what I‘m seeing my country becoming. What‘s the answer? Maybe the answer is in this graphic novel.
