Best books this month: House Of Shadows and The Impossible Girl
pickLast book completed in October. I think what I enjoyed more was Watson relationship with Miss Morstan (no spoilers So sad to see Holmes in drug dependence. Those first pages were hard because no one like to see another human being in that trap, sick world. As expected, Holmes will solve the mystery by using a deduction method. 3/3.5⭐️
pickCute middle grade graphic novel. The interaction between these characters is cute. I think novel will be a good resource to discussed different topics with the young ones, like the expression and management of different emotions, friendship, how to resolve conflict etc. I know the palette of colors could be described as one that is in accordance to autumn season but I think is a little too dark to appreciate some detail 3/3.5⭐️
pickA graphic novel about a romance between a vampire and a warewolf. It has some peculiar phrases to describe the nature of their relationship which could be funny. The illustrations are simple but straight to the message.

pickI really enjoyed this story it has mystery, suspense, romance, drama. Manhattan 1850. Cora Lee is a resurrectionists which means she sells for high price, bodies with strange anomalies to anatomists who will exhibit the bodies to the public. But too many people is dying, do they die for natural causes? And now, Cora also has a price since she is the impossible girl with two hearts.
It was good. It took me 6 years to read this story. 🔽
so-so🙁Didn‘t love it. The story began well, liked the mystery of what was going on, spooky in the middle but then that paranormal thing appeared (not spoiler) It was for me even ridiculous🤷🏽♀️Again, my fault for expecting too much. 3⭐️
so-soOctober was not a good reading month for me. Sorry, this is another unpopular opinion. Don‘t shoot me. I found the story not cute enough for me. Found it even boring in some parts. I guess the problem with me is that I expect too much when the book is so hyped. Let‘s say nothing is wrong with the book, just that it is not for me. Maybe if I re-read it later I can forget this
hyped-ish fever and maybe I can enjoy it more🤷🏽♀️3⭐️Love the gifts
