My 2017 | MDSV
post image

I was so happy to crush my goal of 165 back in July and was sure I'd be able to reach 300 by the end of the year. Pregnancy had other things in mind for me (for a bit there I went from reading 7-10 books a week to going a whole month without finishing a book!😱) but I'm happy I finally got back on track. Ready to start 2018! 🤗#readinggoal #2017review

Andrew65 Given that the total is even more fantastic! 👏👏👏 6y
JenlovesJT47 @Andrew65 thank you!! 🤗❤️ 6y

JenlovesJT47 @new2kindle Happy New Year to you too! You do you, one book a month is still an excellent goal. It makes me sad how many people don't read any books at all. 😪 6y
new2kindle @JenlovesJT47 well my 1st book of 2018 is underway Murder On The Orient Express which so far is enjoyable. Hopefully I can get more than 12 read in 2018...I've plenty lined up ☺ 6y
JenlovesJT47 @new2kindle ooh Murder On The Orient Express is a great book! I also really love the 1974 movie (haven't seen the new one yet). If you haven't read it already I would highly highly recommend reading Dame Agatha's And Then There Were None. It's the best-selling mystery of all time for good reason! I was on the edge of my seat and had to finish it in one night. 6y
julesG 👏👏👏 wow! 6y
Eggs Congratulations on your blessed event 👶😍 6y
JenlovesJT47 @Eggs thank you so much! 🤗❤️ 6y
JenlovesJT47 @julesG 😄thank you! 6y
new2kindle @JenlovesJT47 funnily enough Then There Were None was my 1st book of 2017 so it's a little tradition I seem to have started ☺ I enjoyed it! Very gripping. Havnt seen either of the Express films as I didn't want spoilers. Have you read Death On The Nile? I picked it up cheap on kindle so perhaps I'll save it for 2019 lol 6y
JenlovesJT47 @new2kindle I haven't read Death on the Nile yet but I watched the movie a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I'm sure the book is much better! Btw if you haven't seen it yet you should catch the miniseries for And Then There Were None that came out in 2016, it was excellent IMO. Happy reading! Agatha for the first book each year sounds like a great tradition to me! 6y
new2kindle @JenlovesJT47 certainly plenty of Agatha books to choose from. The mini series was very popular here in the UK & def on my to watch list. Hopefully 2018 is a year of catching up on books & films ☺ ps congratulations on your happy news! I'm sure the little one will love being read to 👍 6y
JenlovesJT47 @new2kindle thank you so much! 🤗 yep I definitely plan on starting him out early with reading. I think for birthday parties I'll ask everyone to bring a book instead of toys, at least when he's really small! 😅 yes, so many Agatha books to choose from, I'm very slowly making my way through them, hope to read more this year! 6y
new2kindle @JenlovesJT47 I'm sure he will love it,So much choice these days ☺ how's the Corey Feldman audio book? 6y
JenlovesJT47 @new2kindle I actually got the kindle book but haven't started it yet. I was mainly reading graphic novels at the end of the year but it's on my TBR for January. Will definitely post a review once I finish it! 6y
new2kindle @JenlovesJT47 cool. I'll look forward to your review ☺ 6y

#2017review for my #bulletjournal along my #readinglog. Read, but mostly listened to, 80 books by 34 authors - dominated by my almost complete run through all of the #discworld series (only two more to go). Rather happy with the turnout, but aiming for more analog reads next year! #readinggoals

I waited to post this until after I finished 1Q84 (which I somehow managed to finish in one week?! It‘s great btw!) But I‘m definitely proud of how much more I read this year! Also I highly recommend The Butchering Art, definitely made me appreciate modern medical hygiene 😷 #2017review #goodreads

Not bad, although I'm wondering why they send us these when there are still 2 reading weeks left in the year! 🤔BTW I believe IT is the longest book I've ever read, period, not just this year. I read a lot of Sweet Valley books earlier in the year. I technically beat my goal of 165 in July but if I hadn't gotten pregnant I probably would have been able to break 300. 😦Oh well! Still very happy with the outcome. #2017review #goodreads 🤓📚🤓

TheBookKeepers This is great!! Congratulations!!🎉🎉 6y
AWahle I completely agree with why are you compiling my stats now?! I have 2 mores weeks to read and I'm on vacation for 1 of them... 6y
MrBook Wow!!! 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 6y

Christine11 It is a bit odd to not wait until the end of the year ! And congratulations ☺️ 6y
MicheleinPhilly I actually laughed when I saw it. There are 2 weeks left and I‘m off for the majority of them. No way am I done for the year. 6y
laurieluna I would have done better had I not had a baby! These beloved kids getting in the way of reading time 😉 Congrats! 👶 xx 6y
Pamwurtzler Wow that‘s a lot of books- congratulations! I just keep that email & look at it again on New Year‘s Eve- I‘m not done reading for 2017 either. 6y
JenlovesJT47 @TheBookKeepers @MrBook thank you!! 🤗🤗🤗 6y
JenlovesJT47 @AWahle @Christine11 @MicheleinPhilly @miralunasbooknook @Pamwurtzler lol I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way! I'll be saving the email and looking at it again at the end of the year. I usually read a lot the last couple of weeks of the year. And thank you!! 🤗🤗🤗☺️🙃 6y
JackOBotts Congrats! 🤰🏻 6y
mrp27 What a great reading year! 6y
TricksyTails 👏😁🙌📚🎉 Fantastic!! IT is looooooong! 🎈♥️ 6y
JenlovesJT47 @TricksyTails yes, IT was a little TOO long IMO, for the most part I loved it but the last 20% or so I was getting anxiety because I thought it would never end! 6y
TricksyTails 😂😂😂 I've felt that way with some other books. 6y
tpixie Congrats!! 🎈 📘🎈🎉🎉🎉 6y
JenlovesJT47 @tpixie thank you!! 🤗❤️ 6y
tpixie @JenlovesJT47 I just added 12 books last night. I wonder if they will be added to this year's reads?! (edited) 6y
JenlovesJT47 @tpixie they should be! I just saved my email last year and looked at the stats again after the new year came around, it worked! (edited) 6y

Hoping to add 4 more books by the end of the month. I‘m annoyed that my longest book is inaccurate, the 1137 actually represents the whole LOTR trilogy. But please enjoy the gratuitous picture of Viggo as Aragorn 😂

Eyelit I love that your shortest book is about time management! 😄 6y
Gezemice @Eyelit Lol! Great spotting! 6y
Gezemice That's amazing, great job! And I am not complaining about Aragorn, either. 😉 6y
dariazeoli @Eyelit OMG, I didn‘t notice how funny that is! 😁 6y
dariazeoli @Gezemice Thanks! And I mean, how can you, right? ☺️ 6y

My reading includes short stories, comics, and full length books, so this range is typical. Though in past years I've almost always had a larger book on the longest side. I think I just read more shorter items this year.

#GoodReads #2017review

rwmg I enjoyed Weight of Memories but it was in a collection rather than a stand alone 6y
speljamr @rwmg I frequently buy the ebook shorts for filler reading. 6y
rwmg @speljamr I do the same but usually with collections rather than individual short stories 6y

This number is half of what I've seen some others able to do, but this actually breaks my original high score record from 2011.
