This second in the Detective Kim Stone series is so good! I liked the first, but this one is even better. There were two things I especially liked about this one. First, we learn much more about Kim‘s bleak and dismal childhood and her biological family, which in turn helps to flesh out why she is how she is. Second, the villain here is evil and fits the title of the book so well. We get both perspectives of the good/bad from Kim and the 🔻
